Sorrento Travel Guide

Italy’s south coast Our tour continues on the Amalfi coast. Another seaside town on the Amalfi coast is Sorrento. You will find answers to many questions such as Places to visit in Sorrento, Places to see in Sorrento, how to get to Sorrento in the content of our article.

We are in the city of Italian poet Torquato Tasso, who was born in 1544. We are not going to write detailed information about the poet, but it will not be possible without writing the words he said about the Turks!

I am talking about the Turks… The Turk, who looks like a relentless hurricane, a terrible sea and a cruel lightning while attacking his enemy. ; It is a morning breeze, a clear lake, in the presence of a friend and an unarmed enemy.. To intimidate this heartwarming wind, to turn this dazzling lake into an exuberant sea would be a mistake that hurts nature. “Tasso”

The heart of the town, built on the plain above the cliffs, beats in Tasso Square, tuff rocks A peninsula with a view of Mount Vesuvius surrounded by lemon trees, surrounded by lemon trees, on which there are natural terraces with a unique view, luxury shops on Corso Italia street, narrow Via San Cesareo street. /p>

A town like Amalfi and Positano that gives the impression of more city life where quiet and calm do not prevail here. You can go down to the beach either by using the elevator, descending dozens of stairs, or by using the walkway made of carved rocks.

Don’t get me wrong if we said it’s the beach.. Beachless beach, consisting of piers built on the sea and rocks. On the left of the beach is Leonelli beach, on the right there is Peter beach, and in the middle there is a public beach with a length of 10 meters.. Entrance fee to private beaches is 8 euro. Since the beach is right in front of the cliffs, the sun is drawn from the beach early.. While you’re here, maybe you want to spend 1 day at one of these beaches, but we can’t guarantee whether you will enjoy it or not.

We preferred Sorrento for accommodation.. Sorrento was a much better choice as the houses in Amalfi and Positano are built perpendicular to the beach and we know that we will have to endure the hassle of going up and down the stairs no matter which hotel we stay in.

Getting from Sorrento to the island of Capri is quite easy and convenient.. Make Sorrento your center and go to Capri island, Amalfi coasts (Positano, Amalfi, Ravello etc…) for a day from here.
