We preferred Sorrento for accommodation.. Sorrento was a much better choice as the houses in Amalfi and Positano are built perpendicular to the beach and we know that we will have to endure the hassle of going up and down the stairs no matter which hotel we stay in.
Getting from Sorrento to the island of Capri is quite easy and convenient.. Make Sorrento your center and go to Capri island, Amalfi coasts (Positano, Amalfi, Ravello etc…) for a day from here.
