Rome: Attractions & Survival Guide

The city that is most likely among the top 3 that comes to mind when we say “shall we plan a trip abroad” is Rome.. Therefore, recently, when it comes to Rome, there has even been a split between those who say “I can’t stand it, it’s very touristic” (as if it’s not a tourist…..) and “I love it no matter what”.. Don’t worry, we will not lose his enthusiasm, we are definitely in the second group, he loves Rome very much, we can’t praise it.. We may also like to explore local places, but we are aware that we are tourists after all, and we will not blame people for wanting to see Rome.. That’s why if you’ve decided to go on a trip to Rome, we’re always full of support, we’re behind you!

We think that we don’t need to praise or praise the beauty of Rome here, you know, something called Google came out, have you entered the visuals section anyway? obviously, this place is undeniably beautiful. Therefore, below, we will focus more on what a tourist going to Rome for the first time can do, which is actually a huge list of places to visit in Rome, which can be adapted by any tourist group.. Let’s not go further, let’s move on to the subject.

-IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE BEGINNING: (WE ARE WRITTING IT WITH CAPITAL LETTERS BECAUSE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT, IS IT VERY EXCITING?). We updated it after the trip to Rome, so the information is not old.

Another important note from the start: If you intend to do a comprehensive tour of Italy and our other articles about Rome, places to visit in Italy You may also want to check out our other related content.. Let’s leave them as follows:

-If we write another note before we start, it’s free: It’s a shame if you don’t follow us on Instagram. Exactly here we are

* Florence
*Venice
*Milan
*Como
*Verona
*Italian Coffee Culture

Did you think we weren’t going to start? don’t be afraid, we’re starting.

When (should) you go to Rome?

-Spring/Summer: Considering the location of Rome, you may think that it is more logical to go in the spring and summer periods.. We can’t say anything negative about the early spring, and even if we recommend it, we can’t say the same for summer.. First of all, it is worth noting that the summer months are the period when Rome hosts the most tourists.. Especially since August is the official summer holiday of Italians, the city is abandoned by locals and left to tourists instead.. In this period when you will be exposed to the god of the busy season both in terms of price and crowd, would you turn to any side of the street and take a photo of us to a random person? You can meet as many Turks as you can say. Of course, we are not talking about Americans wearing slippers over white socks and Asians who can take pictures of even your uncle in Sivas from Rome with their 30 cm lenses…. Anyway.

Autumn/Winter: It is the best place to go in autumn, especially in September and October, as the crowd in the summer months is a little less and the weather conditions provide a more convenient environment for sightseeing. ideal period. In winter, Rome is the least popular touristic period and the probability of rain is highest.. But at this point, the thing that will benefit you is that hotel prices are lower and you can visit the city (especially touristic places) much more easily.. If you say that cold and rain do not concern me, you can choose winter.. We to Rome 2. We made our trip in December and although the weather was not very cold (I guess it was hot, especially after the facial paralysis we had in Berlin), there was a flood panic for 1-2 days of our trip, we were exposed to such a heavy rain.. Other days we were more fortunate, but in summary, we can say that; It’s up to your luck to catch a decent weather in Rome in December.

What to Wear in Rome?

Rome’s weather in Turkey It is not much different from the western part of. The situation is the same here, no matter how hot it is in the summer and how cold it is in Istanbul in the winter.. Therefore, you can choose your clothes in this direction.. For the mid-terms, the situation can be a little different, so if you’re going in the spring or fall, you should consider both weather conditions by buying both a t-shirt and a sweater.. So, don’t write “roman weather forecast” on the internet before you go and don’t think, “Oh, it’s 20 degrees, I’ll just take a t-shirt with me” because things can change in an instant, always be prepared for both situations.

If I go to good restaurants, In Michelin-starred places, even if you have a problem to pay 100 euros for a chicken as much as marbles, you may need to take a few stylish clothes with you because restaurants may have such requests, keep in mind.

Rome Is it expensive?

Although Rome is not as expensive as Paris and Venice, it has an above-normal pricing like every touristic city.. Here are some recommendations to minimize your spending:

Roma Pass: This card has 2 different options valid for 48 hours (28 Euros) and 72 hours (38.50 Euros). There is, but the logic works a little differently compared to the cards in other cities.. You can only enter 1 museum on the 48-hour card and 2 museums on the 72-hour card, so it may not seem very advantageous at first sight.. But since it costs 2 museums (for example, Galleria Borghese’s ticket is 22 Euros per head), it provides a skip-the-line option at these museums (you don’t know what a blessing this is in Rome) and free metro/bus transportation is included for the duration of the card’s validity. it’s actually not unreasonable to buy. It also provides discounted tickets to a number of other museums after free admission.. To consider a few details about this pass:

*The airport is not included in the free transportation.
*Pass 3. it turns into a pumpkin after 12 pm. can be obtained. Tourist information at the airport is one of the easiest points to access.
*You can check the museums you can enter for free by looking here.
*You can enter the following museums for free, apart from the first two museums: Museo della Repubblica Romana e della Memoria Garibaldina, Museo Bilotti a Villa Borghese, Museo Cananica, Museo delle Mura, Museo Napoleonico and Villa di Massenzio.
*More detailed information with the Pass here.

This Apart from that, you can book online before you go in order to both skip the line and get discounted tickets at the most popular museums (sometimes, a 1-2 euro service fee is added when you buy online, but we think it’s worth it to skip the queue). We highly recommend pre-booking for the Colosseum and the Vatican.. You can book Colosseum here (Rome Tourism Office has given us confidence in recommending this site) Vatican here. It is possible to visit the Vatican at night in certain periods, we chose this because it has a very mystical and impressive atmosphere.. You can enter the tribune “Let me go inside so I can decipher codes and find secret doors”, which is quite entertaining.

For some museums (for example, Galleria Borghese) you have to buy the ticket online in advance.. This may also apply to other museums you are considering going to, it is worth checking before you go.

We have also noted the average prices of a few things that you will most likely spend money on, so that you have an idea about the Rome budget, here you go.. (They also 2. We created it based on our trip, so up to date)

*Cappuccino: 1.10 – 3.50 Euro (3. The wave can be a bit higher in places close to the coffee shop. Also, if you drink your coffee standing, you pay a different fee, if you drink it sitting down, keep in mind)
*Pastries such as Cornetto, which you can eat while standing in the ovens: 1.50 – 2 Euro
*Large bottle of water in restaurants: 2, 3 Euro
*Wine: 4-6 Euro a glass, 15-50 Euro a bottle
*Meal with starter, pasta and wine at a local trattoria: 40-60 Euros (for 2 persons)

The Issue of Transportation in Rome

First of all, if we consider the transportation part of the job from Turkey to Rome, as you know, there are many different companies’ flights to Rome.. According to the period, the prices can reach quite extreme points.. we 2. we went with Pegasus Airlines on our departure. Let’s clarify one thing, since we get a lot of questions about it, Pegasus also flies to Rome’s main airport, Fiumicino Airport.. Since there are 2 different airports in Rome as Fiumicino and Ciampino it can create some confusion, we thought it would be useful to clarify the matter.. Grabbing a promotional ticket, or at least choosing a date outside of the touristic periods for your trip, can lighten your budget a bit, let’s not forget this again.

Transportation from Rome Fiumicino Airport to the City Center

There are several options for reaching the center of Rome from Fiumicino Airport:

*Leonardo Express: It departs from this airport and arrives directly at Roma Termini Station in the centre. fast train option. It departs every half hour, the journey takes 30 minutes and costs 14 Euros.
*By train: If you want to make it a little more convenient, you can also use the regular train option.. It departs every 15 minutes, the journey takes about 1 hour, the fare is 8 Euros.
*There is a fixed fee of 48 Euros to reach the city center by Taxi. If you are a few people, it may make sense to use a taxi in order to avoid the hassle of the train.. When you get off, you take a look at the terminal, if you ask, it may be more logical than a taxi.

*Transportation in Rome

Priority for transportation within Rome You should prepare yourself for; yes if you will walk until the black waters descend on your feet. You are in Rome, you catch a different beauty, a different photo frame, something different that will attract your attention in every street you turn.. Honestly, you’re going to need public transport at some point, because Rome is not a small city at all.. Especially if you are going out of touristic spots and you are looking for alternative things to do in Rome, there will be points that you cannot reach on foot.. At this point, if you do not plan to buy the Roma Pass, there are several types of tickets you can buy at the entrance of each metro stop to make transportation (bus, metro, tram, train) convenient in Rome.

*1 daily ticket: You may think that it will be valid for 7 Euros and 24 hours, but you can use it until 12 at night no matter what time you buy it.

*3-day ticket: 12.50 Euros

*1 week ticket: 18 Euros

Note: Do not forget to write your name and surname on the card. If you do not think that you will use public transport very often, you can also buy a one-time ticket, it costs 1.50 Euros.

Accommodation in Rome

There are hundreds of hotels in Rome where you can stay close to touristic places due to the crazy tourist population. As you can imagine, these can be unnecessarily expensive, especially during peak seasons.. At this point, in our opinion, the most important criterion is to take care to stay close to a metro station in order to minimize the “black waters” situation mentioned above.. On our first visit, we stayed at Hotel Alexandra located in Bernini square.. We thought it was a good choice as it is both close to Bernini metro and more affordable than other hotels.. Until we stay for 4 nights in a room like a ward that we cannot even return to on our own axis.. Still, it wasn’t a bad choice if you thought you wouldn’t be spending too much time in the room.. Also, the employees were very sympathetic, trying to help as much as possible instead of looking at their mothers as if they were swearing when they asked a question.

In our second Rome trip, we made a more precise choice Sweet Inn Apartments’ Via degli Specchi. We stayed in his apartment on . The flat itself and its surroundings are very sweet, and its location is ideal as it is within walking distance of many points.. The only problem with this place is that there is no elevator in the building and the flat is 3. to be large. If you’re traveling with a large suitcase, it can be an ordeal, but we think it will still be a logical option, since it adds pluses when you make a plus and minus list.

* At this point, it might be a good idea to tell you about Artıway.. You may have probably come across it before, but let’s not withhold what we know anyway.. Artıway is a system that allows you to cash back some of your spending on the websites you shop on the Internet.. We have been using it for many years, especially when we are dealing with hotels (from sites such as booking and hotels.com), car rental.. Regardless of the travel area, you may want to take a look at Artıway, especially if you are shopping online frequently, as it covers many brands in many different categories such as Trendyol, Nike, Teknosa, The Body Shop, Media Markt, Gratis, Koçtaş.. If you want to become a member, you can solve this issue via this link.. (When you become a member via the link, a bonus like 10 TL is added to your account)

Places to Visit in Rome

Colosseum

We’ve come to the place where the clarion says burpee, to the Colosseum, where you will be lynched by a large crowd if you go to Rome and don’t see it.. There is no point in prolonging this part of the article, we are talking about the huge Colosseum! Known as the symbol of Rome, this building was a beautiful place where gladiators fought and people cut each other.. Thankfully, no one cuts anyone off when you go, just because there are too many tourists, you can meet people from many races, we can’t say that it’s too bad either.. (we apologize for being exposed to our wonderful joke with wordplay)

*Let’s leave 3 points where you can make your friends uneasy by photographing the Colosseum in the best way and flooding Instagram with visuals:

-The extreme point of Parco del Colle Oppio
-Via Nicola Salvi
-The tiny bridge over Via Degli Annibaldi

*Login: 12 Euro, you can buy the ticket from here (or you can use the Roma pass)
*Hours: 8:30-18:00 (Time range may change depending on the period you are visiting, it is worth checking)
*Transportation: Get off the metro at the Colosseo stop.

Foro Romano

Just to the Colosseum The Foro Romano, located next to it, was a market area in the ancient Roman period and today is a place where important buildings and structures are exhibited.. It is a region where black waters should descend on your feet, question “Am I old, am I old”, and get tired?. We recommend you to be careful, especially in the heat.

*Entry: If you entered the Colosseum, it is included in the ticket you bought there.. Even if you do not enter the Colosseum, you have to pay 12 Euros anyway as you have to buy the same ticket.
*Hours: 8:30-18:00 (again, times may vary depending on the season)
*Transportation:  Colosseo Stop.

Piazza di Spagna and Spanish Steps

Rome One of the locals for these stairs, located in Piazza di Spagna, one of the most well-known squares of , asked one of the locals, “Why is this place called the Spanish Steps?” When we asked the question, “because there is the Spanish Consulate next to it”, it is impossible not to see these stairs and not understand where it is.. This area, which is used as a meeting point for Italians, where tourists flock, where you can see people eating lunch or drinking on the stairs, is very cute and worth seeing.. You can grab your wine, your beer and pile up. Of course, if you find a place where you can hardly cuddle with people you don’t know.

*Transportation: Get off the metro at Spagna stop.
*Tips:

-Trevi Fountain is a 10-minute walk from here.
-There are Via Condotti and Via del Corso streets right across the stairs where you can shop.
-Young people are dense here, especially in the evenings. It is possible for you to find party invitations or find out where and what event is happening in the evening.. Also, behind the stairs, there are secret parties going around, let us tell you.
-The Piazza di Spagna square, where the stairs are located, is a place you can choose for shopping.

Pantheon

The majestic Pantheon, one of the best preserved structures in the city, we stare at with our mouths open every time we see it. , an ancient Roman temple. It is known that this temple “dedicated to all the gods that ever existed” was built in the early 100’s.. (it’s so old that it sounds weird even when you’re phrasing it, what is the 100’s) When you enter the Pantheon, it’s a little unlikely that you don’t want to look up at the ceiling, but let’s not forget to mention it, when you look at the top you will see a hole.. This is a hole known as the “Oculus” that lets light through the dome.. Let’s clarify something else that you might be afraid to ask because you might suspect that it is an intriguing and ridiculous question, yes, when it rains, it enters the temple, but all the water flows into small holes you can see on the ground.

*Intro:

strong> Free
*Hours: Daily 19:30 until 18:00 Sunday.
*Transport: Close to Novana Square Get off at the metro stop.
*Tips:
-You can switch to Novana from here to have a drink, get enough of the street performers, and enjoy the touristic experience.
-Be careful with your bag, your phone, this area is really quite touristic and thefts are common in Rome.

Piazza Navona

This magnificent and always crowded square, with its Quattro Fiumi Fountain, is a place to eat and drink in a highly touristic environment accompanied by street performers. A very pleasant place to go for. Since it is touristic, the prices are a little above normal, that’s a fact.. (Our Rome food and beverage guide is full of non-touristy recommendations, just pop them). Also, we saw a boy who looks very much like James Dean here, if you see him, send him to us by courier.. It’s a cash payment, no problem.

*Rome is not a city famous for its Christmas markets, so don’t expect to see the huge Christmas markets you can see here, especially in countries like Germany and Austria.. The most well-known of the existing Christmas markets in Rome is normally set up in Piazza Novana. We say normally because we have 2. Although we made our trip close to Christmas, the market could not be established due to a problem with the municipality.

Fontana di Trevi

This fountain, which is translated into Turkish as “Love Fountain” in an absurd way, but which has nothing to do with the event, is with Poseidon on it, like the fathers, whose voice you can hear from meters away, and then sitting on the benches opposite and trying to take pictures instead of the fountain, unable to remain indifferent to its magnificent view. another touristic place where you can watch dozens of people. The act of throwing money into the fountain, which has helped many romantic comedies to cling to life, is now a tradition.. Everyone has attributed a different meaning to this action, those who want to come to Rome again, thinking that I will come again, throw money to make a lover they want, and those who are after other jobs to make any other wish come true.. We don’t know if any of these work, but it wouldn’t hurt to try.. As an additional information, these coins are collected and distributed to charities.. For example, in 2016, a total of 1.5 million dollars worth of money was collected and donated from the fountain.. Take the horse, you will both get your enthusiasm and help people without realizing it, is it bad?

*Transportation: It’s easy to tell whoever you ask.

Piazza del Popolo

If you enter from Via del Corso, just across the street from Popolo, one of the best spots you can choose to start your trip in Rome, Trevi Fountain’ you can reach neither and Piazza di Spagna, if you walk straight you can reach Piazza Venezia. In this square, it is possible to see the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo, a giant obelisk and 2 fountains whose names we do not know.. (We couldn’t remember the names of the fountains, sorry)

*Transportation: Get off at Flaminio station by metro.
*Tips: More on the food and beverage section Two of Rome’s most famous cafes, which we will explain in detail, are located in this square.

Villa Borghese and Pincio Hill

Villa Borghese, Piazza del Popolo is a large area that overlooks the square and is actually one of the largest parks in Rome today.. We’re not talking about an ordinary park where you can just go and love the lawn, but. We are talking about a park that tastes like a giant open-air museum and includes sculptures, gardens, monuments, lakes and gardens.. Not only that, but also one of the most important museums in Rome, Galleria Borghese, where you can see important works of giants such as Titian, Rubens, Bernini, Raphael, located in the Villa Borghese building, which bears the same name as the park in the region.. Another important museum within the scope of the park is the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna museum dedicated to modern and contemporary art.. If you think these are not enough for me, you can go to Pincio Hill from here, visit the Pincio Gardens, catch beautiful views from which you can see the city from the top, and if we look at it with today’s logic, you can make a living on Instagram.

*Galleria Borghese Admission: 17 Euro
*Hours: Open until 19:00. Closed Monday.

Via del Corso

If you are wandering around the most touristic area of Rome, wherever you go, turn left when you turn right. This long street, which you can see when you go straight, has Piazza Venezia at one end and Piazza del Popolo at one end.. This street, which stands out especially with shopping, becomes even more comfortable by closing to vehicle traffic towards the evening.. It is also possible to reach many touristic places from the side streets of Via del Corso, which is one of the few streets in Europe where you can see it as crowded as Istiklal.. You don’t need to get too excited for the shopping part, because there are stores mostly located in Turkey.
*Transportation: Spagna or Flaminio Station.

Piazza Venezia

This square is known for its huge Vittorio Emanuele Monument. Forget about all the other monuments you know about how huge it is. The front of this monument, which is not very liked by the Italians, is always full of tourist groups and almost 2/3 of the public transportation vehicles pass here.. In this area, you can see Palazzo Venezia , which has also been converted into a museum and where Mussolini gave his public speeches on the balcony.

*Monument Entrance: Free.
*Hours: Open until 18:00.

The Vatican

The Vatican is a completely different world, in fact, it is a place where you cross the borders of a completely different state when you set foot, and we do not think that there is a person who has not been affected until today.. We have prepared a separate post for the Vatican, which has many important places that you can visit, which we cannot do justice to with a sentence or two, let’s leave it here.. Let’s go again.

*Transportation: Ottiviano Stop.

Capitoline Hill

The highest of Rome’s 7 hills, this hill also includes a museum complex called the Capitoline Museums (Musei Capitolini), which consists of many galleries with the same name.. Located in the Piazza del Campidoglio square, this museum is said to be one of the oldest national museums in the world.. In the museum, which you can consider as one of the most important museums in Rome, there is a large collection of important artifacts from the Ancient Roman period (see: Bernini’s Medusa statue).. Also, much of this space was styled by Michelangelo.

*Entry to the museum: 15 Euros
* Hours : 9:30-19:30
*Hint: We recommend that you go here towards the evening hours and see both the daytime and nighttime views.. The square looks great as it is beautifully lit.

Castel sant’ Angelo

This place is wide from the Pope’s house to the prison an old castle dating back to the 100s, used in a wide range of. In fact, if we relate it to our country, Cem Sultan was among the people who were imprisoned here.. Interestingly, it is also said that there is a secret passage connecting the castle to the Vatican, if you find it, let us know.. It is claimed that this passage was built so that the Pope could escape from the Vatican in a possible case, we don’t know if they are making it up anymore… We liked it, we chose to believe it, believe it, it’s good.. Today there is a museum where you can tour the rooms in the castle, and there is also a terrace overlooking Rome, keep in mind.

*Entry: 10.50 Euro
*Hours: Open from 09:00 to 18:00, closed on Monday.
*Tips: The Vatican is somewhere near this castle. (consider that secret passage possibility again)

Basilica of Santa Maria in Cosmedin

You may remember from the movies, and there is no one looking at the face of this basilica, which, according to rumors, houses a statue that is believed to tear off your hand if you lie, but so far no one has been harmed.. Because many people go to take pictures and make jokes and jokes with this statue inside the basilica and called “Bocca della Verita” (also known as Mouth of Truth in English).

*Entry to the church is free

Campo dei Fiori

Close to Piazza Novana, this square is strangely populated with dozens of cafes and restaurants. Although there is a bar, it is an entertaining area where everyone hangs out, young people eat and drink, and take on a different environment day and night.. Especially at night, you can go to see its lively environment and spend time.. If you go during the day, you can visit the local market where you can find souvenirs, local products and even all kinds of things such as tomatoes, peppers and eggplants that we do not think you will need on a trip to Rome.. There is also a very popular bakery with the same name as the square, we wrote it in our Rome food and drink guide.. Bake pears like that, don’t fall in my mouth, are we writing it for nothing, read all the guidebooks…

Trastevere

Trastevere, our favorite in Rome from our regions. It was a less explored area when we first went, now it has turned into a touristic area where many more people visit.. But no matter what, we insist that you go here. Trastevere is a bohemian place where you can find plenty of local restaurants and bars, mingle with the crowd and commemorate Istanbul, where you can talk “Oh, same old Asmalı”, and admire its charming narrow streets.. This place becomes much more active and fun, especially in the summer months, where people drink and hang out on the streets.

*Transportation: Ponte Sisto Bridge from Campo dei Fiori, you will reach Trastevere when you cross the street. Or take a taxi, don’t worry, the prices are not ridiculous.

Museo Nazionale Romano

Although it seems like a single museum name, it is actually located in different parts of Rome. Museo Nazionale Romano, which covers several museums, includes historical, archaeological and artistic works related to ancient Rome. Crypto Balbi, Palazzo Altemps, Palazzo Massimo alle Terme and Baths of Diocletian, places within the museum. Do not look at what we have summarized in one sentence like this, we think you will want to visit all these points separately, especially if you are interested in the Ancient Roman period and historical artifacts.

*Entry: 3-day ticket that covers all museums 12 Euro.

Eating and Drinking Matter in Rome

Rome is the happiest place to eat and drink if you love Italian cuisine (and if you don’t, we’re sorry you’re not with us). Although there is a high probability that you will come to the point of “I ate enough dough” after exceeding a certain number of days, the first few days you wander around confused about what to try.. Where to eat the best Alfredo, where to eat the best Carbonara, where to eat the best pizza, your entire trip is almost like finding the right answer to these questions.. May God not give you any more trouble… If you do a little research on the internet, you will come across dozens of suggestions such as “you should eat here, if you don’t eat here, you are stupid”.. In this guide, as tourists who set foot in Rome for the first time (that is, the author says we were more unconscious here), we made a few recommendations about the places we experienced.. 2 of our recent. After our trip to Rome, we have prepared more up-to-date guides about eating and drinking, here you are:

*Rome Food and Drink Guide
*Italian Coffee Culture

Cafe Rosati and Cafe Canova : These two cafes in Piazza Popolo, one of the oldest in the city, can also be considered as the most touristic and the most expensive cafes in Rome.. We can make a comment about Cafe Rosati in particular: We tried the coffee that we claimed to have tried and liked on our first trip, after it was recommended once again, and in fact, it didn’t work.. Turns out life is full of lies…. You may have started to think, “Why do you recommend it to us, and you put it in the first place without shame”?. But if we think that the point of this place is not the coffee, it is the kind of environment that makes you sit against a very beautiful square in Rome and observe people and say “well, we are in Rome”.. Saying that, our blood warmed again. Still, it’s a good idea to go to other guides for the best coffee in Rome.

Cafe Greco:Read the above-mentioned Via Condotti -text carefully We are testing you to see if you are – this cafe on it is one of the cafes where Stendhal, Goethe, Andersen, Casanova (the list is long, these are the ones we remember) went to have a coffee and spent time.. We are very excited to be in a place where such names once went, and if you feel the same, you can stop by another of these most famous cafes in Italy.

Pizzarium: A little bit about the name of this place. We have our doubts because they logically call every pizza place Pizzarium.. Therefore, in order to find the correct one, head directly to the address we provided.. This is a small place recommended by Vedat Milor, where you can eat “pan pizza”, standing or sitting on the bench in front of it.. Fresh and new varieties are constantly coming, so you can pop in here for a quick lunch before heading to the Vatican.. We think that you will come across this place a lot among the suggestions of “if you don’t go, you’re stupid”, which we mentioned above. Get off at Cipro Stop.
*Sunday is closed.

Pastificio: This is one of the top 3 most delicious pastas we have eaten in the past years. small and local place, now discovered by tourists. (we don’t feel that way anymore, because we found better ones on the second trip) Instead of trying to sit in this place, located on Via della Croce across the Spanish Steps, where only 2 types of pasta come out every day, you grab your pasta and wine and grab your wine. , love the Spanish Steps and experience one of those moments where you can say “Here I am in Italy”.

Hostaria del Moro:If you want to dine in Trastevere, somewhere very local and with great food , let’s get you like this. The world-loving restaurant owner (think of someone who scolds us for not finishing our dessert and then offers us a shot of limoncello for scolding) dishes you haven’t tried before, conversations and the sounds of cutlery from the noisy Italian dinners around you are quite enough to make you happy.. Make sure to stop by.

Gelato: The name of the thing called “Roman Ice Cream”, which we see everywhere in Turkey, in Rome, is Gelato.. We would be lying if we said that we know where the best and original gelato is eaten, because everyone has a voice on this subject.. But you can choose Giolitti on Via Uffuci del Vicario, at least it’s not bad.

Limoncello:You can taste colonial lemonade, sold all over the city

*A few other places you’re more likely to try and love: Felice, L’Orso and Le Mani in Pasta. .

Some Tips for Rome

*Hiring a motorbike in Rome

You’ll probably get plenty of suggestions on strong> (not all sorts of things, if you’re in Rome you’ll be renting a Vespa of course).. Although it sounds good in theory and you can make lots of colorful wall/window front Vespa photos for Instagram, the truth of the matter is walking around Rome with a Vespa is not an easy matter.. At this point, you can decide whether to rent or not by considering the following question; Would you drive a motorcycle in Istanbul? If your answer to this question is no, we don’t think you should do much in Rome, because the road conditions in Italy and the frenzy of drivers can be kept on par with Istanbul.. If your answer is yes, we congratulate you for your madness and courage and we are slowly moving away from here.

*Drink a lot of coffee, you will understand its value when you return to Turkey.. If you want to meet the real face of Italian coffee culture, you need to know very well how to order your coffee, where and when to drink it.. Fortunately, since your family’s blog OitheBlog came to your aid in this regard, we created the following content on the subject, don’t forget to take a look, we will be hurt.

*Girls, if we were you, we wouldn’t try to wear heels, otherwise Rome We don’t think you’ll be able to leave very well, the sidewalks are not suitable at all.

*Places to visit in Rome didn’t stop reading the post, if you exaggerate and say you’re going to live in Italy, you’re crazy, then this one over there Check out our interview.
