Bozcaada Travel Guide

Greetings to Turkey’s Greek culture, how sweet you are! I would like to say that Bozcaada is very beautiful, the most beautiful friends. It has become an obligation from now on, it will be visited at least once a year, that sea, those streets, that wine will be tasted.. I will convey this to you with the Bozcaada Travel Guide.

We follow our Bozcaada Travel route every year due to my 16th of July birthday.. And we love this magical island very much!

If we get on our cars, I will start to draw the Istanbul – Bozcaada route.

Don’t forget to watch my Bozcaada Travel Vlog and subscribe to my Youtube channel!

Transportation:

To reach the island when you take the Istanbul – Tekirdag road you have two options. The choice is yours

The first is to take the Gallipoli – Lapseki ferry as we did (it takes 15-20 minutes), then after driving for 1 hour, take the ferry again from Geyikli to Bozcaada. get off in. Ferries are 35 TL each.

The second choice is to take the ferry from Eceabat or Kilitbahir (it takes a little longer than Lapseki and the way to go is more winding) and then to take the ferry again from Geyikli.

You need to book the return ferry online. Do it quickly without neglecting it, so that the hour you want is not full.

You always go somewhere on the island by bicycle or on foot.. However, a car or a motor
is a must for the beaches.. What kind of paradise is this place

Accommodation:

“Kaikias Bozcaada Boutique Hotel” should be your only address for accommodation in this paradise, which I consider ideal to stay for at least 2 nights. A dreamy art hotel right next to Bozcaada castle. There are mosquito nets at the head of the beds in every room.. Every part of the hotel smells like soap, very clean. Owners Handan Hanım and İsmail Bey are incredibly hospitable.. Felt at home not in hotel. The breakfast is legendary. There are dozens of types of island jams. And anything you can think of. It is strongly recommended. Perfect for a romantic vacation. Kaikias Boutique Hotel

What are we eating in Bozcaada?

The best places to go for dinner are the following options. We preferred Sandal, Bade-i Ask and Hasan Tefik Restaurants.. Prices are between 150 – 200 TL for two people with alcohol.. Places in the port are more expensive.

  • Sandal: The appetizers were successful, especially the Aegean appetizer.

Bozcaada Sandal Restaurant Bozcaada Sandal Restaurant

  • Battı Fish Restaurant
  • Bade-i Aşk
  • Adabeyi Tenedos
  • Maya: A delicious place among vineyards that even makes its own bread.
  • Hasan Tefik Olive Oil Restaurant: I definitely recommend you to try sardines on vine leaves here.

For lunch, Asude’s Garden with sage pesto I recommend the pasta and the mustard seed steak.. Everything is delicious, of course the wines too. Asude Ada

  • Çınaraltı Cafe: Don’t go back without tasting the Turkish coffee with mastic, macaroon liqueur and gum cookies.. Price 12 TL. You can even keep the plane leaf that comes under the coffee as a souvenir..
  • Tenedion Winehouse: Very affordable. Glass of wine 9-12 TL, wine tasting 15 TL. Now I want to open a little wine tasting.
  • Çamlıbağ Tasting: You are tasting 9 wines. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon&Kuntra, Merlot & Kuntra, Kuntra Special Reserve, Karalahna, Roze, Vasilaki. From the end to the beginning, the degree of hardness of the wine increases.. Each one has a different flavor, but Vasilaki as white wine, Roze as pink wine, Cabernet Sauvignon as red wine are very delicious..
  • Fuska or Bianca : Stunning places by the sea behind the castle. It was wonderful to drink wine and sunbathe at the table in the sea at Bianca..

  • Polente: A hang out street place integrated with the blue and white island.

Where to go to sea in Bozcaada?

The answer is everywhere, in every bay.. I’m just writing a few examples.

  • Aquarium Dark: Needless to say more about the name. Just take food and an umbrella & chair with you.
  • Ayazma Beach: It’s a public beach, but the sea is glassy. You can eat at Korean when you get hungry there. Delicious and affordable.
  • Habbele Beach:

What do we not return without doing?

Corvus Wines on their own to get there There may even be a purpose. Be sure to buy wine. Especially when we go to the Polente Lighthouse, where you can see the most beautiful sunset in Turkey, we take it with us..

Let’s get to the sunset tips..

Polente Lighthouse – Wind Roses – Sunset: It was very very beautiful. It was so beautiful that we went both evenings. We fled when the sun went down because we were going to catch Sandal on the first night.. The real event was the second night. stay long. Enjoy the moon, the stars. The sky becomes like a canvas.

Must have: Wine & cheese, corkscrew, wine glasses, camping chairs (if you don’t have a picnic mat), camera, fleece or blanket for the night.

Sea, wine, people (everyone says good morning to each other, asks how they are) on this island, which consists of two parts, the Turkish Quarter and the Greek Quarter, everything is fine.. And without forgetting, the island’s church, castle and museum should also be visited.. I say give them a go too.. Bonus: Don’t forget to have a dessert of homemade natural fruit ice cream at the pier at the time of return
