Since we set foot in Zanzibar, we have always been in a state of traveling and exploring. Thank God, we have completed the places to visit and for the last two days, we are in the head resting mode with the trio of sea, sand and sun.
We stayed at Double Tree By Hilton.. This place is located at Nungwi beach. In front of the hotel, a wall has been set up on the beach so that the vendors will not disturb and show you
The local people along the beach are in trouble to sell something, actually pile it up.. You have to bargain hard with them.. Paintings made of banana leaves, trinkets, wooden dinner spoons and many more are sold.
There was Gerry’s Bar next to our hotel, which can be visited alone on Nungwi beach where we stayed.. While we were on a tropical island, we decided to drink tropical fruit juice, which makes the holiday even more enjoyable, while we are on the beach with our feet on the sand and away from work.. But it was a bad experience for us. There is no fruit on the island, except for bananas, mangoes and coconuts.
There was nothing else in the area except Gerry’s Bar.
We asked the hotel to call a taxi to spend the next day at the Kendwa beach.. We paid 10 USD one way for the beach, which is about 3-4 km away.. However, it was possible to reach it even if we took a half-hour walk from Nungwi.. The beaches are quite safe for walking, as we say, you don’t need to pay that much for a taxi and you can go on foot.
Anyway, let’s come to Kendwa beach, where there are more hotels and cafes than Nungwi. It is a region where , but the sea is more wavy. There are sunbeds in front of every cafe and restaurant, you can rent sunbeds wherever you want, of course, without forgetting to bargain for sunbeds.
It was very nice that we chose Nungwi Beach for accommodation.. We couldn’t get enough of swimming, watching the sea and taking pictures.. We witnessed the tides on the beach on our last day. The sea retreated hundreds of meters. People are walking in the sea with buckets in their hands to hunt fish, and we are in awe of this scenery and natural phenomenon that we have never seen in our lives.
Sunset on Nungwi Beach
We went to the hotel restaurant and bar as there was nothing around the hotel. After dinner, there was a Masaidan show just in front of the restaurant.. Jumping, dance without music.
April 19 was my birthday. I would not have thought that I would celebrate my birthday in a corner of Africa.. I had a different birthday with the dance of the Masai at our table decorated with colorful rice and flowers.. Thanks to the big Happy Birthday written on our table, our drinks came from the people at the next table, birthday present
