When to go to Yedigöller?

We are in the days of global warming. That’s why one season does not hold the other anymore.. Winter may not be experienced in winter. But still, let’s talk about the best times of Yedigöller!

We are very impressed by the snow-covered landscapes, especially in nature..so in our opinion, the most beautiful time of Yedigöller is the winter period when it is covered with snow..

In the autumn period in October and November, it becomes colorful and takes on the colors of autumn.. Its atmosphere is also different… this is our favorite view after winter.

Although it is a bit more crowded in summer and spring months, you can travel more comfortably because the weather is hot, and you can camp if you wish.. As you can see, it’s beautiful most of the time, we can’t choose between them!

The less beautiful time is before spring, that is, in March and the snowless time with the fallen leaves is the beginning of December. If you have the chance to adjust the time, we recommend that you go outside of these two months..

It is already written on the site how many people can stay while holding the house..

B&Bs near Yedigoller

The other two accommodation options in Yedigoller are camp and hostels near Yedigoller.

strong> We will come to that part separately.

First, let’s start with our suggestions for those who decide to stay in Yedigöller bungalow;

  • You need to consider everything and take it with you when you come. For example, your tea, coffee, kettle, slippers, dinner items for the evening, your breakfast items for breakfast, even your grate.. Because there are limited food and beverage options around and it closes at a certain time.. There is no market at all.
  • You must have done your grocery shopping in the center of Bolu when you come.. There is no market in Yedigöller.
  • If you are coming in winter time, we recommend that you bring clothes accordingly, taking into account that it will be very cold inside the bungalow.

We wanted to stay in Yedigöller, right in the national park, close to the lakes. We stayed in the Habitat Mesire Evleri bungalows, but we can’t say that it was a very nice experience.. 🙂 They cut off the electricity and the mains at around 9:30 in the evening so that the people who stay do not waste much electricity, and believe me, we saw such a practice for the first time.. Electricity comes back around 10 am, which means you’re without power all night. When there is no electricity, the honeycombs go out, it gets cold and you sleep in the cold.. When you get up in the morning, it is not possible to take a shower in that cold.. Also, the internet goes with the network.. You may think that your communication with the outside world is cut off.. For such an experience, we should add that we paid 600 TL per night for the bungalow.. This means that all bungalows in Yedigöller are like this.. There are some very good ones. For example;

The most famous favorite accommodation of Yedigöller, Hindiba Nature House. Endive has always received the most praise and suggestions.. There are also camping options, not just bungalows.. As a location, it is not right in the park, the distance to the lakes is about 1 hour by car, but whatever.. You can reach us on the website or by calling 0850 346 94 79.

If there is no space left here, you can check out the other two alternatives, Çam Pınarı Doğa Evleri and Yedigöller Family Pension.

Camping in Yedigöller

Camping in Yedigöller is also possible. Here are the things you need to know before the camp;

  • There are camping signs around the 7 lakes in Yedigöller where camping is allowed.. You can set up the tent only in those areas.. Surroundings of Büyükgöl, the most preferred camping area. Deringöl is also highly preferred.
  • There are no showers in the camping areas.. There is a toilet and a mosque.. You should not come with the expectation of a hundred percent clean camping area.
  • Because it is a forested area, the temperature difference between day and night is huge.. It is necessary to come with the right and thick equipment.
  • It is strictly forbidden to light a fire in the camping and picnic area..
  • The nightly fee of the campsite is 34 TL as of 2020.
  • The phone is not working everywhere.. So don’t forget to search for what you want to look for in the places it shoots.

Hindiba Nature House is also an option for camping.. We can also say that it gives you an advantage in terms of food, as there is an option for dinner and breakfast.. Since there is also a shower option, we can say that those seeking comfort will be more comfortable here..

Then let’s come to the chapter of Bolu Yedigöller eating and drinking guide!

Eating and drinking in Yedigöller and breakfast in Yedigöller

Yedigöller is obviously a bit limited in terms of eating and drinking.. When you say limited: We said that grocery shopping should be done in advance for those who come for camping and accommodation.. But apart from that, there are not many eating and drinking places in the national park.. If we count what has happened as follows;

Habitat Restaurant: This is the place that serves breakfast in the park, and where you can find options such as pancakes and meatballs.. Since it is the only place, the prices are accordingly.. We ate pancakes and drank soup here. The price was a little high but the taste was good.. There is also a spread breakfast for those who come for breakfast.. However, instead of having lunch here, we think it is more enjoyable to bring your food with you and eat on the green benches by the lake!

If you have come to Yedigöller for a day, there are pancake shops you can stop by on your way back. The two we took note of were Beyza’s Terrace and The Mischievous Pancake House. Can be considered on the way back.

How much is Yedigöller Entrance Fee? (2020)

The entrance fee to Yedigöller by car is 18 TL as of 2020. It doesn’t matter how many people are in the car.. fixed price. There are parking spaces for cars inside and it’s free..

We said that the camping fee, or rather the tent setting fee, is 34 TL.. If you are going to camp, you do not need to pay the above 18 TL.. You pay 34 TL directly.

Otherwise, the entrance fee for the minibus is 54 TL and the entrance fee for the bus is 150 TL.

Kapankaya View Terrace and Atmaca View Terrace

Let’s start with the two famous view terraces first. If you are coming from the Bolu road, about 3-4 km before entering the national park, you will see two viewing terraces.. The first one is Kapankaya View Terrace. When you come to the Kapankaya observation deck, you have to park the car and climb the stairs for 5 minutes.. But the prize is the magnificent view of Yedigöller!

About 1.5 km from Kapankaya observation terrace, there is Atmaca Observation Terrace. This place is a little smaller than Kapankaya.. Whichever you say, the majority says Kapankaya..

To visit the lakes in order – 7 lakes

When you follow the routes in the lake, you can easily visit the seven lakes that make up Yedigöller.. Here are their names, in order: Great Lake, Small Lake, Nazlı Lake, Serin Lake, Sazlı Lake and Ince Lake. Among them, the most photogenic and favorite duo is Great Lake and Nazlı Göl.

Although it is theoretically possible to see all the lakes only on foot, most of the trails have slopes. We strongly recommend that you take a trip by car, considering the weather conditions and the cold weather most of the time and the distances in between..

Wish Fountain and Smiling Rocks

There is a wishing fountain on the walking path just ahead of Nazlı Lake. Unfortunately, it dried up last year due to the drought… and there is the rock formation ‘Smiling Rocks’, which you can reach by following the path, and the famous Pythagorean Tree right next to it.. We couldn’t go to this trio because we didn’t have time.. Promise again!
