Where is the Kiyikoy Natural Pool?
The Kiyikoy Natural Pool is located in Cilingoz Nature Park, about 100 km from Istanbul.. One cannot believe that this place is in Istanbul. Someone in the navigation marked it from God. Otherwise it would be really hard to find. Everything happened in September 2020.
How to go to Kiyikoy Natural Pool?
When and where did I see the photo of the Natural Pool? I do not know. I think someone mentioned it after sharing a photo of Giola on Thassos Island in Greece, similar to this place.. Those who are wondering what kind of place Thassos and Giola are, can go to that article by clicking here.. That day is today Kiyiköy Natural Where is the Pool? How to get there? I was researching. Some said “entry is forbidden”, some said “I entered and swam”. Which was true? It was a must to go and experience it myself.
Kiyiköy Dogal Pool directions didn’t get much results from my research, so I thought I’d write it in the navigation.. Glad I wrote. When I typed Natural Pool (don’t use soft g) in navigation, it showed up. How happy am I?. We set off from the European side of Istanbul.. From Kemerburgaz road, we drive towards Yalıköy via Taya Kadın, Kestanelik, Ormanlı.. You can go directly to Kiyikoy and come from there, but we did not do that.. Just a short while before Kiyikoy, we proceed by constantly controlling the road and navigation.
When you see the iron gate on the right of the road, stop when you see it.. The iron door was not locked when we went. If anyone goes, please write the latest situation in the comments.. Remember that the road is completely dirt from the moment you enter the door. It’s good to go slow. If you can, go with a 4×4 vehicle.. I don’t have of course. My poor car, 1.2 engine, did not take from anyone what it took from me.. I’m going as far as I can go. I don’t push past a point. We take our bags, the rest will be walked as usual.
After 10-15 minutes, we see the poles of a tower from afar.. A little further on, there is a guard’s hut at the bottom of the castle.. The man is surprised at first when he sees us sitting calmly in his cabin.. Two women stood before him at the top of the mountain.. He wasn’t expecting us of course. We say “We came to the Natural Pool”. It says “no entry”. We say “We’ve come too far”. As it is written in the information on the internet, we say “we are responsible”, but whatever we say is useless. PROHIBITED. “Even if you enter, the Gendarme will see you through the cameras,” he says.. The road is very difficult.. we couldn’t get off. It was dangerous.
The natural pool is on the left side of the tower, behind it.. If we walked to the right, we could go down to the coves there.. that side is free. My enthusiasm is in my crop, my head is bowed down, we have to say “at least let’s go that way”. The man returns to his cabin. We’re going to look the other way. beautiful on the other side. Great in the view yes but it doesn’t meet my expectations. I want to swim in the Natural Pool.
The Difficult Path Descending to the Natural Pool
We take some photos and come back. We will return, now we must. I say, “Look from behind that tower. Maybe we’ll see it from above.” We’re walking but it’s not visible. I see no one is coming to bring us back. I say to my friend Çilem, “Let me take a look at this dangerous road”. His hand is in a plaster. Doesn’t want to force. “You can come if it’s not too hard.. If the road is bad, I will go and see.. Says “Okay” poor guy. He’s used to me now.
I crouch down and start descending very carefully.. small footpath road dirt. It slides down. Make sure you have sports shoes on your feet.. No slippers. This place is actually dangerous.. If you slip, it’s a cliff below. We didn’t bother to take pictures here as we had to be very careful.. After a while I come to the rocks. You have to get down from a rock. I don’t find it very difficult here.. With your back turned, you can descend more easily in such places.. You must be in contact with the ground from all three places.. If one foot is in the air, the other foot is on the ground and both hands are holding something.. If we have agreed on this, I will continue to tell.
From what I read, I had to walk for 20 minutes, but I got off in 10 minutes.. it wasn’t hard at all. of course for me. As a result of the sports I do, what is easy for me may be difficult for you.. You have to draw your own boundaries.. I call and say “come” to Çilem. Çilem went down this difficult road with a crippled hand, but she also took mountaineering training.. So that’s not a criterion for you either.. The road is really difficult.
- In Çatalca Dogal Pool, the phone and internet are not working everywhere, but when it comes back a little, it does.. So it’s not that big of a problem.
Kıyıköy Natural Pool
Finally, we are at two crazy Natural Pools. It’s the weekend, will it be too crowded? Can we go in? There is no one but us in the Natural Pool, which we keep saying. We also entered the place where it is said that you cannot enter forbidden.. Unbelievable. The only problem might be that the sun disappeared and started to rain, but it passed over us like a cloud.
We’re two crazy women this Natural Pool’ And we listened to the sound of silence. I entered and swam. I jumped. We took a million square photos. We even slept. We listened to music. The huge tower was looking at us like a grudge above us.. Always asking “When will the Gendarmerie come?” we waited. we laughed at this. I wonder if they are waiting upstairs to watch us from there and say “you will see us at the exit”? we said. there was nothing to do. we had landed. We were chasing our dreams. How can this be a crime?
When we went to the Kiyikoy Natural Pool, it was September.. There was little water in the Natural Pool, but it was like glass.. We could easily see the garbage at the bottom.. So someone entered the forbidden place. My goggles that I took with me (Sea goggles are called masks, but every time I say mask to Covid trouble, there is the perception that I enter the sea with the mask we put in our mouth :D) helps me to dive in.. If we ignore the garbage, the bottom of the sea is truly magnificent.. It feels like diving. Just like Giola.
Is Kiyikoy Natural Pool Entrance Prohibited?
As we learned later, the tower we saw in Kiyikoy Natural Pool was the RADAR TOWER.. Entry is really forbidden. Is this location too strategic for the Radar Tower? I don’t know about it, but wouldn’t it be nice if they didn’t install it in such a beautiful place? Giola on Thassos Island in Greece is just like this place and the guys use it to promote the country.. They turn such a beautiful geographical formation into a goal.. We’re erecting the Radar Tower right on that spot like there’s no other place.. We also prohibit entry. As a result, the entrance to the Kiyikoy Natural Pool is FORBIDDEN. We were lucky enough to have it.
Is it possible to camp in the Kiyikoy Natural Pool?
Is it possible to camp in the Kiyikoy Natural Pool? I couldn’t find an answer to my question. I came here with the dream of being able to camp. What camp is it forbidden to breathe here. It is not possible to camp at the Kiyikoy Natural Pool. However, it would be a great Kiyikoy Natural Pool camping area. When the evening begins, we climb back to the top with the worry of who will meet us.. There are no people. How do we get past the guardhouse with my hair and head wet? while we think, we look at the side where we walk, the cottage has no window. The man who has not seen us from him. As we pass by his window, we look at him as he sleeps.. We have a departure on tiptoes. Out of sight we have a run. Does chasing your dreams always have to be so on the edge?
The water is shallow in September. If you go, don’t skip it.

We want to eat fish in Ormanlı. Facilities in Ormanli are quite expensive. Our dream of eating fish by the lake is against the dried lake. We want to camp in the forest. They say “forbidden”. Then they say “you can do it for money”. These are the moves I don’t like.. Even though it’s getting dark, we continue on our way. The weather is beautiful and why not a camp by the sea? Then we drive towards Ormanlı Beach. I didn’t like it so much that I didn’t take a single frame.
3-) Çatalca Ormanlı Camping Area (Istanbul Free Camping – Caravan Area)
This camp with the Sea – Forest – Lake trio While our area is descending to the beach of Çatalca Ormanlı Village, you can follow the stabilized roads on the left and set up your tent on the upper side overlooking the beach and have a wonderful night with the sounds of the waves.. During the day, you can take long walks on the beach and struggle with the waves of the Black Sea.
Again, the view of the lake between the village and the beach in this region offers wonderful views for photography enthusiasts. There are bird watching towers here.. If you want, you can go out and watch the birds and enjoy the view.. Although the diversity of birds has decreased, there are quite colorful images.. It gets very crowded here during the summer months, but if you come during the off-season, it will be very enjoyable to listen to nature.

Forested Beach
We lie down next to our tent on the beach in the dark of the night and listen to music. It was a nice day. I fall asleep outside as usual. My strawberry saves me from the rain in the morning by waking me up. Listening to the sound of rain in the tent is a wonderful thing for me.. Provided that it is a waterproof tent, of course.. Equipment is important.
We did our camping shopping from Kestanelik. The sausages we got were not good. Meat was very greasy. It may not apply to all butchers here, but it wasn’t good that we came across it.. There are many markets and a very nice bakery in Kestanelik.. I love their warm bread and pastries. There are so many fountains on the way that if you take an empty bottle, you can fill your water.. Even though we wanted to fill all the empty bottles on our way back in the evening, we couldn’t see the fountains in the dark.. By the way, Sunday evening traffic was a disaster.. It’s crazy crowded in the season.
- There are a few things to note about the camp at
- Ormanlı Beach. At Forested Beach, tractors are constantly traveling to pull the boats.. It even passed right under our tent.. He almost crushed us. You can set up a tent a little further on or on the terraces above.
- In general, Ormanlı Beach had a very windy and wavy sea.. It presents us with a calm and warm day, as beautiful as the Aegean Sea, Ormanlı Beach. All is well this weekend. Thank God
