25 years after TDI technology was first launched, Audi has taken diesel engine technology one step further. Developed by Audi engineers, the Audi RS5 TDI Concept has made a major innovation in diesel engines with its electric turbocharger that increases traction, acceleration time and fuel efficiency.
RS5 TDI Concept’ The biggest innovation was the integration of a separate 48 Volt system into the existing 12 Volt electrical system. Thus, the energy distribution in the energy vehicle became faster. The 48 Volt electrical system used for the first time in this vehicle is planned to be used in mass production vehicles in the future
RS5 TDI Concept, with its twin-turbo V6 engine, produces 385 HP. The vehicle, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers in 4 seconds, accelerates to 200 kilometers per hour in 16 seconds. The RS 5 TDI Concept, whose top speed is limited to 280 kilometers, has a fuel consumption of only 5.3 liters per 100 kilometers.
