Ever since I heard about Pink Lake, I’ve had a mad craving to see it.. Even if it’s not pink, I go and see it whenever I’m near it.

The Story of Falling on the Road

When my canyon trainings are over, it’s summer now.. The next canyon crossing was a dream come true for me as I injured my foot after my last training.. I’m living at home now because I sold the boat. Can’t I say I can’t live. One night they came. I stuffed what I got into a suitcase and let myself go.

Actually, this is what happened. There is a spring who has been bored at home for a few weeks and hasn’t been able to sleep.. When he couldn’t sleep one night, he set off early in the morning.. It was unclear where he went, where he would stay, what he would eat. The road took him to Balık Balık, the restaurant of Derya Bey, whom he knew in the village of Kocaçeşme in Evreşe.. It had a more delicious menu than the Greek one.

After a little break, chat and breakfast, while crossing Lapseki, she met the captain of the ferry, Ali Kaptan.. Ali Kaptan allowed him to use the ferry.. Did the people on the ferry know about this? I don’t think so. Then he took a break in Lapseki Kumada.. There he met the sweetest Dilara and her mother.. He swam with the dolphins, cooled down and continued on his way.

Let the tale come true now. At first, I aimed to land at Ayvalık via Çanakkale.. My music, myself and my joy were on the way. Navigation gives a maximum of 5 hours.. So how did Spring go in 20 hours? The breaks he took on the way may have lasted a little longer with the people he met, yes, but it doesn’t change the fact that I enjoyed it very much.

Pink Lake

After Lapseki, I am chasing the pink lake that I read about in a newspaper article in the winter months.. I take the village roads from Ezine to Geyikli side.. I feel like I’ve been teleported to another land with my music playing, windmills spinning like fairy tales, yellowing grass. Too many vehicles do not pass on narrow rough roads.. That’s when I stop and take pictures.. I have the freedom to leave the car in the middle of the road and take a photo.

I pass through many villages. I ask for addresses in village coffees. Why is a woman alone looking for a pink lake, is there such a thing as Pink Lake, I meet her gaze with a smile. I am happy to have added a new subject to their stagnant lives.

This small lake was a reddish color due to the intense salt it contained.. It is also known as Salt Lake among the people Yone of the 8 pink lakes in the world is in Turkey and in the shape of a heart. Don’t believe the news on the internet. According to the information on the internet, it has turned red since March, but as you can see, we are in June and it is still not pink.

Before I go, of course, there is no one I do not talk to, from the headman’s office to the Face groups.. Before I went, I knew that the pink color can only be achieved in the hot months of July and August.. Still, when I get this close, I want to go and see it.

How to Go to Pink Lake?

You go up through Dalyan Village after Geyikli in Çanakkale’s Ezine district.. Five minutes from the village. When I say pink lake, everyone looks at me in surprise.

When you go up from Dalyan Village and go for five minutes on the dirt road by always making a right, the lake is on your left.. I’m watching the lake below from the top of a hill. Of course it’s not pink. I came across a very windy weather. It’s always windy here though.

Watch out for the weeds. You can put on a sneaker and go down to the lake. I still can’t wear shoes because my foot is injured. There are ancient ruins by the lake. This used to be an old residential area.. Alexdra was the port of the Ancient City of Troas.

One day will come and this place will be excavated.. I’m very curious about the city that will emerge. Vast sea on one side, a heart-shaped lake and ancient ruins on the other. Even though I can’t come across the color pink right now, I know that this pink lake will call me again.

  • This article was written as a departure story to be updated when the day comes.. I didn’t want to find the pink versions on the internet and post them.. I’ve never used photos that I didn’t take myself.. One day I will photograph their pink ones too.
