For 4 years I can I try to travel the world as much as possible.. I met hundreds of people. There were people who were very herpetic among them, and there were people who were normal like you and me.. Let me tell you a little about these experiences I have had.. There are several ways to earn money while traveling. Let’s start with volunteering.
Working as a Volunteer
English name is voluntary. You can find these jobs through intermediary websites or by asking the hostels and municipalities in your area.. The most well-known websites are workaway, helpx and wwoof. There are other websites but these are the most common ones I’ve seen. Some memberships are paid.. There are two types of users on these sites. Profiles created by employers and volunteers. For example, the man has a hostel in Colombia and is looking for volunteers for this hostel.. You post an advertisement on one of these sites and you apply for that post as if you were looking for a job.. Then the owner of the ad looks at your profile, if you have positive comments from the places you have worked before and if he sees you as appropriate, he says ok come and start.. Well, if you have never worked this way before, there will be no reference in your profile.. That’s where your web page, couchsurfing and facebook account come into play.. So you reference them. If the man believes you, he will answer your request in the affirmative.
What will you do in the hostel? What will you get in return for the job?
– They usually look for a receptionist and you just need to speak English. When it comes to language, you don’t need to know it very well, don’t be intimidated.. You keep the records of the people coming and going to the hostel and show their rooms.. Generally no cleaning. You’ll be sweeping the left and right the most. I’ve never seen a toilet cleaner like that.. It is already written in detail what is requested in the announcement explanations.. You work an average of 5-6 hours a day.
– Graffiti artist, web designer or interior designer can also be sought. There are some hostels that are just like art houses. They have very good graffiti on their walls. That’s what usually makes them volunteer artists.. Sometimes, newly established hostels may be looking for someone who understands these issues for interior design.. Likewise for web design.
– They usually give you free accommodation in exchange for your work.. Some places also have 3 meals a day.. Do not think that you will earn money from these jobs.. I’ve never seen or heard of anyone who pays.. Such a 1-2 week old staff is not very useful.. Ads may have a minimum of 1 month or more working condition.. If you go and work for 2 weeks and then leave, the employer may write negative comments about you and you risk potential jobs you may find in the future.
You can also do the following in hostels as I did before; Say that you are a travel writer and when you write about that country on your website, I will add your hostel’s website.. Some may offer free accommodation in return. Or if you have the ability to take photos and videos, you can also take pictures of the hostel.. The hostel I stayed in when I was in Panama had a tour service to the surrounding islands. I said I could shoot a video for this tour. Luckily they needed it too.. Thanks to this one-minute video I shot, they hosted me very well for 3 days.
This is usually the way things are at the hostel. The second popular one is working on farms.. If the man has a farm in Mexico and is looking for a volunteer, he leaves an advertisement on one of these sites and you apply.. Don’t think that you will work like a windlass 🙂 Again, you usually work 4-5 hours a day.. You can plant a field, you can reap, you can plant saplings. These are the things you can do without heavy work.
Working as a Volunteer Teacher
In some countries, this type of volunteers can also be sought for foreign language education of students.. If your English is somewhat decent, you can find similar jobs from primary to university level.. You can find these ads on the websites I mentioned, hostels or municipalities.. If you’re lucky, you can earn a little money.
Working as a Volunteer Carer
Volunteers can also be sought for the care of disabled children in some countries.. This can happen sometimes in hospital and sometimes in nursing homes.. Working here alone requires strong psychology, not something everyone can do.
Doing Volunteer Medicine
There may be such needs, especially in underdeveloped countries.. I’ve even heard of full-time employees in some hospitals.. Sometimes there are money givers, strangely, but sometimes there are institutions that ask for money.
Animal Sitting
Sometimes animal shelters are also sometimes used to take care of pets in a normal house. it could be. It is a blessing for someone who loves animals.

It is possible to see 20-year-old European youth all over the world doing this type of volunteer work.. There’s nothing to be ashamed of or be embarrassed about.. The experience you will gain is not measured by money or stamps.. You can gain education and life experience that you can’t get from any university by working this way.

Traveling the World as a Street Artist
The most classic method is to make and sell jewelry, buckles and bracelets.. Just like Fabiana traveling the world for 10 years. If your hand is prone to these works, it is a job to open a stall in touristic places in your country.. Maybe you don’t have extra money in your pocket, but you can travel the world.
You can also earn the money you need by performing on the streets.. You sing, you play the guitar, the flute or the like, you put on a comedy or magic show. So this is not the end. The biggest problem of street artistry is that not every country or every city allows it.. Just as you cannot go to the middle of the taksim and do street artistry in your own way, there are similar situations in other countries.. But in general, I can say that there is no such problem in Latin America.. In almost every country I have been to, I have encountered similar street artists who travel the world.. So if you intend to do something like this, start from Latin America, it’s a cheap place and you’ll get rid of your inexperience.
I said creativity above for what you can do, actually it’s very flying, no need for runaways. For example, the friend whose photo you see below is performing on the street in Colombia with a musical instrument and clothes unique to his culture.. I can’t tell you how interested people are. Because there are so many different things to their culture and it interests them.. I’m sure this guy makes a lot of money for his work and he deserves it.. Decide what you can do by looking at examples like these.. Think, for example, wouldn’t a friend who shot 3 horon with their traditional clothes and kemençe attract attention in a foreign country?
