Travel to Cumalıkızık

After commuting between Bursa and Istanbul, we are looking for a place to fill our stomach before returning to Izmir.. After the argument between me and my friend, we do not speak except for compulsory words.

Since he knows that he is wrong, but does not accept the situation, he is trying to surprise me without expressing this situation.. I don’t notice it at all, or I try to pretend I don’t…

Two strangers in the same car are on the road on a Sunday morning. At the end of the discussion that marked our last Sunday we will spend together, we enter Cumalıkızık.

A gentle ramp that goes up and natural stones in pieces on the ground.. Everywhere is lush. A giant plane tree in the middle of the road.

The village, which was founded in the 1320s, was established as a “foundation village” and was one of the 6 Kızık villages in the vicinity.

A system that tries to market itself from the entrance catches our eye.. We get detailed information about the village from the introductory information board.

As we go up the ramp, we see the stalls where the villagers sell their produce and different colored products on the right and left.

Then I try to warm up with the winking sun. Around the gendarmerie hut, a few gendarmes look at the people who come and go.

The giant plane tree is surrounded by Cumalıkızık Bursa minibuses.. not a pretty sight. I think it would be good if a different waiting area was arranged for the minibuses in this village where everything is natural.

Some scenes of Kurtuluş, one of the important films about our republic, were shot in this environment. However, the most important production that made the name of this village known was undoubtedly the Kınalı Kar series.. The fate of the village was almost rewritten with that show.

And the movie “Greening Dreams”, which was watched with interest by conservative circles, was shot here again.

Our aunts knitting behind the looms sell something when you don’t ask questions. they don’t fight for. However, as soon as you ask a question, you can find yourself in a conversation that takes up to half an hour; If you have time, I say try it.

James, pickles, dried fruits in large jars and wooden painted trays made by women who go to the public education center. When you see the Kınalı Kar characters on almost all trays, you may be more likely to have a bad day.. Pay attention to this, too.

After passing the stalls at the village entrance and climbing a little higher, the streets start to get narrower and cooler.. Water flows with a great pressure in the middle of the streets inclined towards the middle.

Historical Cumalıkızık houses are made of rubble stone, tree and adobe, and they generally display a three-story appearance.. The windows on the upper floors are lattice or bay windows.. I pay attention to the handles and knockers on the main entrance doors of the houses.. It’s obvious that each one is made of wrought iron.. A few villagers we asked a question about said they regret that ironwork is no longer available.

Almost all large houses with gardens serve as pancake shops or breakfast rooms.. The income of the village is focused on tourism.

The Karacanlar Grocery Store, which we pass by, is one of the squares that best reflect the structure of the village.. I’ve been, possible village grocers have been interesting to me.. This grocery store, which is built with a mixture of adobe and wood, contains the traces of the history of the village.

When the snow on the hills we look at through the greenery meets the sun, it dazzles us.

The window of the shop selling photography materials. completely adorned with photos of Kınalı Snow. As someone who doesn’t like the series, I immediately walk away.

Ethnography Museum and Art Gallery, which was created with the support of Yıldırım Municipality in the village where the Raspberry Festival is held in June, is next to the village mosque.

While the mosque is a structure from the Ottoman period, There were the ruins of a Byzantine church in the place where it is located.

While we are taking a tour of the village, we enter a place we like, realizing that it is time to fill our stomachs.

A typical family Everyone working in the place that has a business is a member of the family.. We start to fill our stomachs with our menu consisting of pancakes, eggs, village bread, tea and jam.

The fresh air and natural food will have hit me, my stomach can’t stand the situation and I have to empty my stomach before I can eat any more.

Cumalıkızık, where I breathe oxygen to the fullest, is a tourism paradise that has turned into a natural film plateau.

If you enjoy natural life and history a little bit, I say give it a try.
