Transportation in Amsterdam

The transportation system in Amsterdam is very developed. Most of the people go to their destinations by bicycle. You can find bike parks everywhere. The inner city is paved with tram lines. Buses, subways and trains are also common, but we mostly preferred trams. It is not possible to wait more than 5 minutes at any stop. Except for the tram, you have to buy the tickets before you get on. If you are going to hop on and off a lot, it is expensive to buy the tickets one by one. Instead, you can use all-day tickets. Ticket control is not usually done, but if you get caught, they are definitely not forgiving. You have to pay the 39.80 € penalty. I don’t think it’s a worthwhile risk. Already a one-day Iamsterdam card 39€. You have both free entrance to museums and a public transport card valid all day =) Public transport tickets valid for 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours.. can be used in all public transport vehicles. Tram number 2, which we love and use every day.
