BEST “ROOF-TOPS” IN SINGAPORE
The so-called “roof-top” in Singapore The incident has been the most up-to-date and trending blog topic lately.. There are more than one terrace bar-club concept where you can have fun with a magnificent view from different points in the city and these places are almost competing with each other.. While we were searching for a spot where we could watch the best view of the city under the lights and photograph at the same time in Singapore, where we would only stay for 1 night, we came across the headlines such as “best roof-tops in Singapore” and when we saw that there were more than one alternative, we went into in-depth research.. In this article, which may be useful for those who will go to Singapore in a limited time like us, we have compiled and collected the best rooftop restaurants/bars and clubs with a city view for you.
1- 1-Altitude:
63 of One Raffles Place hotel. Located on the 2nd floor, at an altitude of 282 meters, 1- Altitude lays the entire city under your feet, including the Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Flyer views.. It is a very stylish place where you will find a restaurant, bar, lounge club, dance floor, etc. with different concepts on both floors located on the terrace.. You go up to the venue with a special elevator from the ground floor.. A drink is included in the entrance fee.
The place is packed on Friday and Saturday nights, so it’s a good idea to make a reservation.. But on our first night, we were able to enter the venue after waiting for about 10 minutes in a very long line without making a reservation.. It is indeed an impressive sight.. It was a very pleasant feeling for us to lift our “Singapore Slings” to this view.. What the place lacks in our opinion is its music and customer base.. Maybe it was a special occasion for the day we went, we don’t know, but the music seemed incredibly old-fashioned to us, and the customers of the place were mostly young gays.. But as we said, maybe it was our luck.. Regardless, we definitely recommend this place from number 1 because it is perhaps the only and highest point where you can see the whole city 360 degrees. They will prefer the subway for transportation, they have to get off at Raffles Place MRT stop and walk for a few minutes.. Here is the link of the place.
2- Ce La Vi SkyBar:
This place, formerly Ku De Ta, is located at 57 of Marina Bay Sands hotel.. on the floor. The venue, which has a magnificent view, serves with restaurant, bar and club sections.. No entry fee but drinks are a bit more expensive than 1- Altitude. However, the price you will pay for a cocktail here is almost the same as the entrance fee to SkyPark, the observation terrace of the Marina Bay Sands hotel, and it is higher.. You have to go to the venue by dressing smart-casual.. At Ce La Vi SkyBar, which is usually full after dark, you can have fun until the early hours with a live DJ performance.. “We have come to such a stylish place and we can spend a little more money.” Drink recommendations for those who say, Singapore Sawa and Urban Breeze cocktails. The disadvantage of the place in our opinion is that it is on the top of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, which is the most important building to be seen in the city.. Of course, this feature is an advantage that makes the place different from the others, but still, when you are at the top of the place, it is a shame that everything is in your field of view and the Marina Bay Sands hotel’s silhouette under night lighting is not present.. Now imagine how an advantage turns into a disadvantage.. For those who still want to go to Ce La Vie Skybar, here is the link.
3- Level 33
Marina Bay Financial Center (MBFC)’s 1. 33 of the tower. The place on the first floor actually serves with a bar concept.. Since the area where the place is located is the business center, most of the customers are white-collar people in suits who stop by after work.. But since we went here on a holiday due to the Chinese New Year, it was almost empty and there was a mass of locals rather than tourists.. We recommend that you choose from the draft beers of Level 33 from the menu containing all kinds of beer.. You can have a great time with a perfect view by taking snacks such as fish & chips, hamburger, chicken, cheese and shrimp with you.. The place is very windy, so it is an incredible pleasure to spend time here, especially during the day, after the humid and suffocating air of the city.. We not only escaped the rain that started about half an hour after entering the venue without getting soaked, but we also had an amazing experience witnessing the rainbow rising like a postcard over the Marina Bay Sands hotel after the rain.. Metro: A few minutes’ walk from Raffles Place MRT. The link of the venue is here.
4- Lantern @Fullerton Bay Hotel
The Lantern, located on the terrace of Fullerton Bay Hotel, is the ideal roof-top for couples especially. The reason is the opportunity to sit on the bed-shaped sitting groups with your loved one and sip your drinks with an incredible view.. You do not pay the entrance fee to the venue. Beers are S$12, cocktails are S$20. As two sisters, of course, we did not go here because it was not a trip that we needed such a romantic atmosphere 🙂 In any case, the hotel did not seem very attractive to us because it was shorter than the others However, there is something we want to talk about here.. While walking around the hotel, there is neither security, nor special forces, nor the police.
You can walk around such a stylish and luxurious hotel comfortably with your hand in your pocket or your camera.. No one will say to you, “Hey tourist, you can’t even walk from the slope of the hotel in this costume.” doesn’t say. Nobody cares about you and makes you feel like they don’t trust you.. This Singapore is truly a place of self-confidence.. Here is the link of the venue for our romantic couples
5- Kinki
The motto is “Japanese with urban attitude”. What does that mean? In other words, the walls of the place, whose menu is mainly sushi and its derivatives, are adorned with graffiti and an urban atmosphere is added.. It is a perfect location to watch the laser shows that are held every day at 20:00 in front of the iconic Marina Bay Sands hotel, which is right across the street.. This place, which you can reach by getting off at Raffles Place MRT metro stop, is on the roof of the Customs House in Collyer Quay.. The link of the place is here.
6- Loof
Of course, 1- The most attractive aspect of this place, which has a view that cannot be compared to Altitude or Ce La Vi, is that it is more affordable in terms of budget.. According to the concept of “Beat the Clock” in the venue, after 17:00, drinks are S$5, and prices continue to increase by 1 dollar in each subsequent hour.. Here is the link of the place.
7- La Teraza @Screening Room
This place, where you can watch movies in the episode called Screening Room and have a good time at the rooftop bar La Teraza, is a different place in Chinatown. promises experience. It is a very interesting concept, but we liked it very much, but it is a place that can be preferred by long-term travelers or residents who will stay in the city for at least a week, rather than tourists who have come to explore Singapore for 1 night.. The link is here.
8- New Asia Bar
New Asia Bar, Singapore’s longest-running rooftop bar, has entered the list of the world’s top 50 bars. Swissotel The Stamford’s 71st. It is recommended that you go to the venue on the 1st floor before sunrise and have more affordable drinks accompanied by the view.. Here is the link of the place.
9- SuperTree by IndoChine
I think this place is famous for neither its menu nor its interesting cocktails.. The only important and distinctive feature of the place is the experience of hanging out in the restaurant/bar, which is seated like a bird’s nest on the top of the highest man-made trees in Gardens by the Bay.. Of course, the view that looks fascinating from the outside is the same Singapore view from the inside, only under the night lights as in other roof-tops.. Therefore, if you have a lot of money and time, we suggest you have a bird’s nest dining experience.. Here is the link of the place.
10- Potato Head Folk
Potato Head Folk, which entered our list at number 10, is located at the 4th of a building on Keong Saik Road in Chinatown district.. located on the floor. This venue is not as high as the others we agree. But if it is a bohemian style, you will feel like you are in Singapore, a multinational city, when you sit in the terrace garden and look at the skyscrapers rising on the other side of the city, especially by sitting in the terrace garden.. According to what we heard, both the food and the cocktails are very tasty and affordable.. They will spend at least two days in the city, especially if they want to eat something a little more familiar in chinatown, they can come here and indulge in delicious burgers.. The link of the venue is here.
