After a 1 hour and 20 minute flight from Hobart, we arrive at Sydney. Sydney Australia’s oldest city. 2nd. its old city was Hobart, but is now Tasmania’s most important city.
In 1888, the British come to Sydney with groups of prisoners.. The British are structuring the city by employing these groups of prisoners.
As soon as we arrive in the city, we make a quick preliminary tour of the city.. First we pass through Oxford street. There are office and office buildings on this street.
There is a 305 meter high Sky Tower.. 76 of this building. We went upstairs and had a bird’s eye view of the city.. The best way to see the city from the top is to climb this Sky Tower.. This place was built in 1980. There is an antenna tower 30 meters high at the very top.. This antenna was used for telecommunications in Sydney.
Sydney is very deep, so very large ships can easily approach the port. From here we see the famous 500-meter-long Harbor Bridge (in Darling Harbour), the widest bridge in the southern hemisphere.. Right next to this bridge is the Sydney Opera House, which has become the symbol of Sydney.
We take beautiful pictures by fitting the bridge and the Opera house into the same frame.. The opera house is really impressive.. According to rumors, the architect of this place, Jorn Utzon, was inspired by the slices of orange peels that he threw on a napkin while eating an orange, and brought this project to life.
Another rumor is that he was inspired by oyster shells.. And according to another, it was inspired by sailboats.. Now for whatever reason, this opera house with 5532 seats was opened in 1973.. This very impressive opera house has entered the UNESCO world heritage list.
The building is 183 meters long and 118 meters wide.. The area on which it is built is 1.8 hectares.. It has 5 theater halls.. It is one of the must-see places in the world.. From here we go to Hyde Park. Here we see the royal botanical gardens. We take a pleasant walk through many different trees and flowers and cactus gardens.. This park is spread over a very large area.. A very popular place for newly married couples.. We met 3 couples (bride-groom) that day.. Next to the bride and groom were 4 men and 4 women, all dressed alike.. Men wore black suits with white shirts and women wore red suits.. They were all lined up next to the bride and groom as if they were bodyguards and bridesmaids.. This sight was worth seeing; Opposite the opera house, right next to the Harbor Bridge, the sea and Hyde Park in between, the bride and groom in the park and accompanying men in black suits and white shirts and women in red dresses.. A lush park, various trees around and a wide variety of birds.. All of these were wonderful in one frame.
There was a decent country wedding in another corner of the park.. A long, narrow red tram (with wheels) that runs through the park. In places, fountains, water lilies, various birds in lakes. It’s like heaven. The botanical garden is beautiful. A wide variety of plant examples and cactus garden. A must see place.
Sydney’sunemployment rate is only 5%. The wealth level is high, 65% of the population is rich.
Another place worth seeing in Sydney is the Queen Victoria Building. This building is perfect both inside and out.. The floors and ceilings inside are magnificent. It has a very flashy big clock inside.. There’s a show here every hour. There are very stylish shops and souvenir shops inside.
From here on, we take a boat trip to the harbor.. We watch Sydney once from the sea.
We are visiting a very large aquarium in the ocean, at the foot of the Harbor Bridge bridge in the harbor.. In this aquarium, the floor, ceiling and sides are all glass.. You feel as if you are walking in the middle of the ocean among many sea creatures such as sharks, stingrays and coral reefs.. I think it’s better than the aquarium in Monaco, Barcelona and Singapore.
It was dark when we left the aquarium.. Loud music and young people in cafes and restaurants along the harbor.. It’s like a holiday place. Nightlife in this area is very colorful.. Pik street is also very enjoyable. They hold various street performances on this street that is closed to traffic.
There are many magnificent buildings from the 1900s on Market Street.. In addition to the lights on the streets, there are directions written in big letters at the places at the pedestrian crossings so that you look to the right and look to the left.. Pedestrians have priority in traffic here as in many countries.
