Singapore, which is a must-stop on your travels to the Far East, although it is a small city-state, places to see and do offers more options in terms of things. In this article, I will talk about Singapore attractions and give you the information you must read before Singapore trip.

Singapore subway’s name is MRT, the Singapore subway map where I marked the stops you might use for the must see places in Singapore that I described in this article.

Writing a SINGAPORE TRAVEL GUIDE for transportation, shopping, eating and drinking in Singapore with general information you will need for your Singapore trip, such as weather conditions, visa you can review. Let me add the Singapore currency information in that article again; Singapore dollar, which is the currency of Singapore, is equivalent to approximately 3 TL as of the end of 2017.

Singapore attractions map

Marina Bay Sands Hotel: The ship-shaped hotel with a terrace, which we can call the symbol of Singapore, Marina by Sands,It can be seen from many places in the center of Singapore. 57 of this hotel. There is a pool on the ground floor of the hotel on the terrace built on three towers and only guests staying at the hotel can benefit from this pool.. Swimming in the infinity pool of the Marina Bay Sands hotel, which is on my list of things to do before I die, like many travelers, was my second visit to Singapore.. “How can I swim in the pool without staying at the hotel?” Don’t look for a method because there is no such method  See the pictures, prices and customer reviews of Marina Bay Sands hotel and click to make a discounted reservation on booking.com.

Swimming in the world’s most famous infinity pool, Marina Bay Sands, was on my list of things to do before I die.

The price of the hotel is way over your head and you’ll never have to stay there. It’s okay if you don’t have the opportunity. Because without entering the pool, it is possible to go to the terrace of the hotel for a fee and watch the view of the city.. You can go to the terrace called SkyPark for 23 Singapore dollars between 09:30 and 22:00.. I think this terrace, which is free for hotel guests, is beautiful because it is not surrounded by a cage.. If this is your plan, you can get off at the Bayfront stop of the yellow or blue lines of the subway to reach the Marina Bay Sands hotel, then follow the SkyPark directions.

If you have spent the evening around this time, at 20:00 and 21:00 (on Fridays and Saturdays) at the Event Plaza or Waterfront Promenade area in front of the Marina Bay Sands hotel There is also a 22:00 session) water and light show. In the show, which is free to watch and lasts about 15 minutes, they project figures on the water, it looks interesting, I think it would be good if you try to match it.. If you set it to catch the 20:00 session, you can catch the other show at 20:45, which I will explain below.. (Please check before you go to see if the hours have changed.)

Gardens By The Bay: In Singapore promotional images, it often looks like a tree with colorful lights. You see things, here is the garden with those tree-like things. Their names are Supertrees, and they have light shows called Garden Rhapsody every night at 19:45 and 20:45. Go a little early and try to find yourself a good angle to take pictures

Supertrees show at Gardens by the Bay (Garden Rhapsody) It’s free to watch, don’t miss it.

While watching this show is the most interesting free activity you can do in Gardens by the Bay, for those who have a little more time and want to buy tickets OCBC Skyway and to visit the themed gardens with beautiful flowers.. You can review the details on the website, which also offers route suggestions.

You can reach Gardens by the Bay with a short walk from Marina Bay Sands hotel.

Helix Bridge: This bridge, which you will see as you walk from the Marina Bay Sands hotel or Gardens by the Bay to the Ferris wheel, looks impressive with its spiral shape, especially when the evening lights are on.. Another reason to love night time in Singapore after light shows

Singapore at night with Helix Bridge and Marina Bay Sands hotel brilliant..

Singapore Flyer: The Singapore Ferris wheel, which you arrive at when you cross the Helix Bridge, was named the world’s tallest Ferris wheel in 2014. Although it lost its feature of being ‘ to Las Vegas, it is a candidate to offer a wonderful Singapore view with its 165 meters high as ‘the tallest Ferris wheel outside of America’.. Since I was looking at the view from the observation deck of the Marina Bay Sands hotel, I did not buy tickets for the Singapore Flyer again, but those who are interested can buy a ticket for 33 Singapore dollars and board.. The website is here.

If you didn’t arrive on foot, get off at the Promenade of the MRT yellow line and exit where it says Exit A.

Take/take lots of pictures at Merlion Square, the center of Singapore.

Merlion Square

Merlion Square

strong> (Merlion Square): Merlion Square, another landmark among the places to visit in Singapore, has the famous Merlion statue. This statue is a figure with a fish tail and a lion mouth.. Water pouring from lion’s mouth into Singapore river. There are high-rise buildings and business centers in the surrounding area, a complete metropolis.. Since this is a touristic center, there are many options for buying souvenirs.

You can reach Merlion Square by getting off at Raffles Place stop of the red or green lines of the metro.. The British named Stamford Raffles, who named this stop, is considered the founder of Singapore and you can see his statue in the area.

Singapore Places To Visit: White The statue of Merlion, the statue of Merlion, the thorny Opera house (the building they supposedly resembled the durian fruit they disliked), the name of the Ferris wheel is Singapore Flyer, and the Marina by Sands hotel, whose top is like a ship.

China Town: Of course, there should have been a Chinatown in Singapore, where 75 percent of the population is of Chinese descent.. The beautiful building that you will want to take pictures of is a temple called Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum, both the building and the interior of the temple are different and beautiful. If you go to Singapore before the Chinese New Year like I did, this part of the city can be crowded due to the Chinese population preparing for the New Year.. But the shops and streets are equally ornate, I liked it. Chinatown is also the right address for cheap shopping in Singapore.

You can get off at the Chinatown stop of the blue or purple lines of the subway.

Chinatown in Singapore is very colorful especially before Chinese New Year’s..

Clarke Quay: If you walk around Chinatown in the right direction, you’ll soon arrive at Clarke Quay. It is a place suitable for you and you will love this region, which is the center of nightlife and entertainment in Singapore, which is full of places that appeal to all tastes, some with live music, some with dance clubs, some with a pub atmosphere, especially in the evening. you will surely find. You can even get on the boat and take a romantic evening tour.

If you’re here early, start your tour with Fort Canning Park next to it and spend some time in the greenery. Then you can plan to move to Clarke Quay.

You can get off the MRT at Clarke Quay stop on the purple line, as I said, it is very close to Chinatown and China Town. next stop from the stop.

You can stop by Clarke Quay in the evening for nightlife, food and beverage and boat tours in Singapore.

Orchard Road (Orchid Road): Even if you do not intend to shop, I recommend you to stop by this luxury street, which is preferred for shopping in Singapore, especially I think you will like this street which is bright in the evening.. You can get off at the Orchard stop on the red line with MRT, or you can choose one of the many buses going in that direction.

If you see and do what I’ve listed here, when you add Sentosa Island on top of it Singapore’s places to visit. My advice is to spend a little more time on your Singapore trip and explore the other beauties of the city.. Below I have listed the most well-known of these beauties.

Singapore’s most famous street, Orchard Road, shines in the evening.

Singapore Botanic Gardens: If the tropical climate means lush gardens and beautiful flowers for you, then head to the Singapore Botanic Garden. You can start your tour by getting off at the Botanic Gardens stop at the intersection of the blue and orange lines of the metro, and then continue on the Orchard Road, which I just described by walking (because this is the daytime and it’s more beautiful in the evening, so it makes more sense to start from the gardens first).

Good news; The botanical gardens are free to enter.. The entrance to the National Orchid Garden is 5 Singapore dollars (children up to 12 years old free). Since Singapore is especially famous for its orchids (Remember, the most famous street was called Orchard Road, or Orchid Road), I think it’s worth paying this money and seeing the orchid gardens.. It can be visited every day between 08:30 – 19:00. Click for detailed information on the website.

Buy your ticket to the Singapore National Orchid Garden and see all kinds of orchids, the lord of flowers.

Bugis Street: If you like street markets, this is your place. For those who know Istanbul, let me say it tastes like Eminönü and Sirkeci; Whatever you look for, such as fruit and vegetables, gifts, clothing, electronics, you can find it here.. If you find the shops in Merlion Square too touristy and those in Chinatown ‘too much Chinese work’, or if you like them and still can’t get enough of shopping (!), you can shop with the locals here.

It is possible to get off at the Bugis stop at the intersection of the green and blue lines of the metro.

Haji Lane: This street can be reached by a short walk from Bugis. Although it is an Arab Quarter, it looks more hippie We can say that Singapore is a hidden beauty with its colorful cafes and examples of street art, I am sure that those who love to take photos will capture very nice shots.

Singapore Haji Lane district is colorful..

Little India: Now it’s time for the rich and metropolitan Singapore to see the other side of. You’ve always been curious about India, but couldn’t you find it and go? You get off at the Little India stop at the intersection of the purple and blue lines (you can also get off at the Farrer Park stop) and welcome to Little India!

As you can see from the name, unlike the Chinese It was not put modestly as ‘neighborhood’, they simply said that it is the smallest of India Indians make up 8% of the population and they are the third largest community after the Chinese and Malays, mostly in this region, but in Singapore.

You probably haven’t seen a lot of security guards when you get off at any of the Singapore subway stops before, you will see it here. They will even warn you to zip up your bags and protect your belongings.. Astonishment will continue when you get out of the subway; because the buildings, people and general image will be completely changed. “We were just going super socialite out of the blue, what happened?” I was quite surprised by this region where I felt like I was teleported to India.

When it comes to Little India, people and buildings are one thing. changing at the moment. I had a hard time believing that I was still in Singapore..

Then why go? I think there are two reasons; first one Cheap shopping in Singapore. The second is that the surroundings are colorful and mixed, as I said, it was an interesting experience to experience an ‘India simulation’.

It is possible to shop as much as you want, it is called “Mustafa Center” where everything is sold. there is a shopping mall. When entering the shopping mall, the security guard put a plastic lock on my bag so that I wouldn’t steal anything from my bag (perhaps both) and similarly, after I paid for the keychain I bought inside the mall, the cashier put the keychain in the bag and put it in the bag. When I put a lock on it again (I think so I wouldn’t fill it with other things as if it was paid for) my amazement increased even more.. It was quite interesting to be in a place where so much insecurity and the risk of theft were at the forefront.

It may be different to see a Hindu temple while you are gone, its buildings are surrounded by very lively colors.. But it’s also worth keeping in mind that Hindu temples are usually closed between 12 and 4 pm.

They are funny obsessed with the name Mustafa. The place is full of Mustafa in the form of Mustafa Center, Mustafa Foreign Exchange, Mustafa Air Travel Agency, Mustafa Jewelery etc.. See what you’ll see early and head to the next destination.

Singapore has interesting domed Hindu temples, especially in places with a high Indian population.

The places I have shared on the map at the beginning of the article are here, now we are getting away from the center a little.

Singapore Night Safari: I think one of the answers to the question of what to do in Singapore is ‘night safari’.

Safari starts at 19:15 pm. To go, you have to get off at Ang Mo Kio stop on the red MRT line and take the bus number 138 from there, you will already see the directions.. The journey takes about 40 minutes with the bus number 138, you can adjust your departure time accordingly.. Get off at the last stop with Night Safari. Adult ticket price is 45 Singapore dollars.

Taking the train for Singapore night safari. When you say train, don’t think that you will go fast and make a dangerous journey among scary animals.. The 40-minute journey is very safe, the animals are out of reach and the train is slow.. So there is nothing to be afraid of. An officer explains the animal you see at that moment, its characteristics, living conditions and who donated it to this place.. If you want, you can get off the train at any point and take a walk through the forest on the walking tracks yourself and get on one of the next trains.

In front of this sign, just ahead of the entrance. Don’t forget to pose.

When you get on the train, they take your picture and present it in a beautiful frame with many animals added on the way back. You don’t have to buy it, but maybe you’ll like it, don’t forget to take a look at the photo board when you get off the train.. If you’re lucky, you might even come across fire shows at the exit of Night Safari.

Although the idea of zoos and animals being taken from their natural habitats and placed in cages might be against you, the conditions here don’t seem that bad.. First of all, the animals are not in cages, they have created that natural environment so successfully that you can’t understand how and why the animal that wanders comfortably under you does not escape from there.

Night safari is one of the top things to do in Singapore.

Creatures of the Night is very popular and can be hard to find a place.. If you are there close to the start time of the show, which takes place at 19:30, 20:30, 21:30 and 22:30, try to enter the show first.. You can even go half an hour early and try to get a seat.. If you are not allowed in your first try, try again after safari.

If you have more time, you can not settle for Night Safari and go during the day and Jurong Bird Park (29 Singapore dollars), River You can join any of the Safari (30 Singapore dollars) and the Singapore Zoo (33 Singapore dollars) activities and continue with the Night Safari in the evening.. Of course, there is no obligation to do all of them on the same day, it has to be used within 7 days from the first visit.

When you enter Night Safari’s website, the links for these three options I have listed at the top you will see, select the one you want and examine. Daytime activities are usually until 18:00, still check the Opening Hours section of the website.. Let me remind you that Jurong Bird Park is at a different address from these four options (Boon Lay stop on the left corner of the subway map, close to Chinese Garden).. Others are on Mandai Lake Road where Night Safari is also available.

When you decide, enter the Buy Tickets menu on the right of any of the four options and proceed from there. Single ticket or double-triple-quadruple combination ticket options will be available and the price will change accordingly.. Discounts are also applied when you buy from the site, so if you are sure, you can buy your ticket in advance.. I could only experience Night Safari, but it’s the most expensive one anyway

Singapore Sentosa Boardwalk is a bit tiring in hot weather though The scenery is beautiful along the walk.. (Who sees Sentosa on the back left?)

Sentosa Island): Singapore to make your time in Singapore more enjoyable When you think of entertainment in , you should go to Sentosa Island.

There are multiple options on how to get to Sentosa Island. First, get off the subway at the Harbor Front stop, located at the southern intersection of the purple and orange lines.

There are a lot of directions, when you get off at the Harbor Front stop, you will easily find which way to go.. If you choose the walking method, the signs showing how far you have left will also accompany you along the straight road, giving you the feeling of ‘what if it’s hard enough’.. Actually, I’m talking about a road that can be considered as short as 1 km, but considering the air temperature is 30+ degrees and the humidity is high, walking can be a bit challenging.. You can take photo breaks on this scenic road, walking is the free option to go to Sentosa Island.

Singapore Universal Studios, Sentosa It is located on the island.

You will see the cable car to Sentosa on your hill. The second time I went, I thought I would try the cable car, but since it is a touristic activity with beautiful views, I did not want to pay such a fee when I saw that it was 29 Singapore dollars.. This ticket called the Mount Faber Line Round Trip is to take you to and from Sentosa Island.. There’s also the Sentosa Line Round Trip ticket that goes inside the island, 13 Singapore dollars. $33 if you buy both combined.

I took the RWS8 bus for 4 Singapore dollars instead (the ticket is paid to the driver), It was already evening on the way back, and I walked back from the Sentosa Boardwalk that I mentioned above.. Let’s not miss my cable car views The ticket of the train named Sentosa Express was the same price as the bus.

In the article I’m closing with the Singapore metro map where I marked the mentioned metro stops

Although Sentosa Island is most famous for Universal Studios Singapore, it is still more on the entertainment island. there are many different activities. Not to forget the Trick Eye Museum, where you can take fun photos with optical illusions.

I will share my information and experiences about Singapore Universal Studios and Sentosa Island in another article.
