How Many Days to Visit Prague?
You have little time, you can spend two days on the weekend and spend 3 nights in this city with pleasure.. If you are going to spend all your time in the region of Prague 1, where the touristic spots are concentrated, oh what a go, maybe if you want to visit other regions in pursuit of different discoveries, you need a little more time, but if you have 3 nights, skip it without thinking!
In Which Season Should You Take a Prague Trip?
The color palette of autumn’s yellow, orange and green mixtures suits Prague so well, it’s almost a painting! Moreover, keep in mind that in springwherever you go, you will mostly enjoy the price advantage.. Accommodation would be more convenient. Although we went in November, we did not feel cold, we did not see rain or mud.. There were crowds of tourists even then, so I can’t think of summer around here. Winter sees -18 degrees in Prague, so conditions such as snow may hinder the trip.
Prague Hotel Recommendation – Where to Stay in Prague?
One of the factors that kept our Prague trip cost down was staying at Aparthotel Davids, which is beautiful, clean and well located.. We paid 118 Euros for 3 nights here.
Prague Transportation – How to Get to Prague?
We bought our Prague tickets We bought it 8 months ago from Turkish Airlines’ campaign for 400 TL per person. Most people travel to Central Europe by combining the route Prague – Budapest – Vienna. I had visited Vienna and Budapest on the same trip and saved Prague for later.. Fortunately I did it that way. Although Budapest is my favorite European city, I can say that I love Prague very much.

Transportation from Prague Airport to the City:
After getting a ticket from the machines with our credit card by paying 24 Czech Koruna per person at the airport exit then we took the bus No.119 and arrived at the Nádraží Veleslavín stop. From here, we transferred to the metro with our ticket valid for half an hour.. The only rule is that you don’t skip having the yellow machines scan the ticket you bought, otherwise you will be penalized as if you didn’t get it when there is a control.. Not on the way out, but on the way back to the airport, we checked in the metro, where bus 119 departs.
Prague City Transportation:
We always walked, once We didn’t even use a vehicle.. Prague is not a rental car city anyway.. The metro and bus systems are not great either, so the best and most enjoyable thing to do is to walk around.. I had been advised to take a taxi or Uber for long distances, but we never needed it on our 3-night trip to Prague.
The Prague Currency Exchange Problem – Where to Exchange Money in Prague?
Czech Republic, or the newly named Czechia, is one of the countries in the European Union where you can enter with Schengen Visa, but not Euro Czech Koruna uses. When you come here with Euro, it is reported as if it is extremely difficult to exchange foreign currency and get Czech Koruna, but I don’t think so.. Instead of having to exchange it for the first time, you just have to wander around and find the exchange office that gives the most suitable rate, you don’t want to be upset because there is a serious exchange rate difference.. Apart from that, we don’t need a lot of cash as we always pay by credit card, but not everywhere accepts credit cards here.
We were able to exchange money at a decent exchange rate at the exchange office on the narrow street on the left while walking from the astronomical clock tower to the bridges.. By the way, keep in mind Czechia is one of the countries that are not being generous with Schengen Visa. In other words, if you have a visa before and you have entered the country where you got a visa, it is logical to come here while that visa is still in effect.. Otherwise, if you are going to get a Schengen visa and enter Czechia for the first time, you need to get it from here, which is like a dream even for 6 months.
How to Get a Schengen Visa

Is Prague Cheap ?
I can say that it is one of the cheapest cities in Europe.. In summary, the cost of our trip to Prague for 4 days and 2 persons is 450 Euro, with the exchange rate of that day 2850 TL. Having such an enjoyable trip with this budget in 2018, when the Euro was around 6 TL, shows how successful Prague is still a travel route.
Prague Places to Visit
When we arrived in Prague in the evening, we first threw ourselves into the Old Town Square, that is, the Old Town Square.. One side is the Astronomical Clock Tower, one side is stalls selling street food, and everywhere the eye can see is magnificent architecture! By the way, we looked at it from the corner of our eyes when we saw that people gather in the Astronomical Clock Tower every hour and create a crowd.. The show where the apostles are replaced in the glass is a marketing marvel.. It may be the simplest yet most interesting show in the world.
The first thing to do is live inside the church at the Tyn Church located on the square we listened to Mozart live and attended mass. If you research such events before your trip, you can get different experiences.. Moreover, it was free.
We ate hotdogs all night long, drank mulled wine, and ate the famous dessert of this region Trdelnik. We loved Prague from the first evening! If you want the hotdog to be big and full of different flavors, you can find the buffet (100 Koruna) under the Hotel U Zlateho Stromu. I recommend the buffet under (30 Koruna both hotdog and wine). By the way, Hotel U Prince is a visual spot where most people take photos with the view of Prague on its roof.. I recommend Good Food for the Trdelnik dessert.
The next day started out great because our first stop was the Klementinum library. There are 20 thousand books in the National Library! Kepler found the Law of Planetary Motion here! Photographing was forbidden but seeing that history felt unique. Good thing we got in line in the morning and signed ourselves up for the 11:30 tour.. There is no entrance without a tour, you cannot tour, and each half-hour tour is for a maximum of 10-15 people.. We saw the library and climbed the Astronomical Tower and watched orange Prague from above! We gave 600 Czech Koruna, and we are glad we did.
If you say Klementinum is paid, you can see it at the Municipal Library of Prague where you can enter for free there is a book tower. It’s incomparable, but you should see this work of art while you’re here.
We went to the Local Inn for lunch, crossing from Charles Bridge to the other side of the bridge at the exit of Klementinum.. Frankfurter sausages, fried cheese with tartar sauce and Pilsner Urquell beer harmony was amazing! we loved it here. We paid 360 Koruna for 2 people.
After dinner we went to U Luzickeho to walk in the narrowest street of Prague. It doesn’t have much, but it’s very close to the Kafka Museum, so you can see it because it’s on your way.. Arrivals and departures are provided with the traffic light. There is a restaurant at the end of the street. I think he sold it here to do business. Nice tactic.
Since we left goose feeding the next day with the view of Kafka Museum and Charles Bridge, we continued towards Letna Park and after a short walk Beer Garden we reached. While drinking beer with the view in this beer garden, we decided to try Prague’s famous drink Becherovka, we left our liver there! It is very clear why men do not get cold at -20 degrees! We paid 120 Koruna for 2 beers and 1 Becherovka.
The best place to end the night, Hemingway Bar! It may be the most beautiful bar in the world, the cocktails are amazing, it seems impossible to find a place without a reservation.. We drank four cocktails named Cash Only Bar Prague, black and white new fashioned, takumi taco and the revenant. Thanks to The Revenant, I could never enjoy any cocktail I ever drank again.. It had Absent in it and it was delicious! Other cocktails were also very successful. Good thing we sat at the bar and watched how the bartenders prepare the drinks! It’s a real craft.. We paid 1130 Koruna for these 4 cocktails.
The next day, we went to Charles Bridge and turned 360 degrees, watched a lot of scenery and took pictures.. We crossed the bridge and passed by the Kafka Museum to Kampa Island and took a walk to the riverside, where we were going to feed the geese and capture lots of photo frames.
It’s time to get here. there is Lenon Wall nearby. Painting of John Lenon on the wall, and then a wall full of art colored by the thoughts of peace and freedom.
From here on, on the road to Prague Castle, you can walk to Strahov Monastery You will reach. The library of this monastery is one of the must-see spots, it smells of history.. Entrance is 120 Koruna per person.
You walked down the path from the monastery to the center, surrounded by forests and greenery, and you deserved a nice meal! We went to Cantina as we would die if we didn’t try a Mexican restaurant in every country we went to.. We paid 585 Koruna for 2 people including drinks.
We are getting close to the end.. We crossed Prague’s visually beautiful bridges one by one, walking until the Dancing House, which we cannot return without seeing our Prague Travel adventures.. This building, which is likened to a man and a woman dancing, was also a hotel.. Is it similar, you decide! Taking a picture with the building kicking and smacking is your debt in the world of Instagram..
After walking that far and drinking a tired coffee at the Original Coffee’ (104 Koruna) Prague Travel Route To complete it, we took our breath away in one of the most famous bars around, Anonymous Bar’. It was impossible in my eyes to get on top of Hemingway, especially after the revenant cocktail.. We found a bit of exaggeration, we didn’t like it very much. However, this is a place where it is very difficult to find a place without reservation, where the bartenders make presentations with V for Vendetta masks.. We drank a cocktail for 2 people, giving a total of 390 crowns.. It wasn’t bad, but we’ve tasted better
