OSLO TRAVEL GUIDE

Flying London to Oslo with our children on a warm autumn morning, my 43. , we start exploring the capital of Norway, the 12th country of children. We reach the city center from Rygee Airport with a 45-minute train journey. Train fee 160 Kron (53TL) per person), children are free. The most famous street of the city, Karl Johans Gate, greets us as soon as we leave the train station.. On our first day, we explore Akershus Castle, Aker Bridge and the Nobel Peace Center on our list of Places to visit in Oslo.

The first thing about Oslo Our impression is that the big city bustle is not here.. Its calm and peaceful state quickly envelops us, and we move forward in awe in its streets adorned with withered branches and yellow leaves.

1-AKERSHUS CASTLE

<

Our first target is Akershus Castle, which is at the top of our Places to Visit in Oslo list.. The castle is inside the Akershus Fortress, which surrounds the center of Oslo from the sea side. The interior and the view of the castle are quite impressive.. Moving along the walls, we reach the Oslo marina area.

Is the weather even cooler than England? On recommendation, we take a coffee and hot chocolate break at Oslo’s Starbucks Kaffeberinniert. Coffee and hot chocolate 40 crowns each. We calculate the TL equivalent by dividing the crown by 3.

2-AKER BRYGGE

Walk along the marina and visit the Nobel Peace Center After passing through, Aker Brygge, one of the most vibrant and popular parts of Oslo, welcomes us.. In this area, which is the modern face of the city, dozens of cafes and restaurants lined up along the coast give me inviting glances.?

3-RESTAURANT FISKIERT

<

However, we say goodbye to Aker Brygge and turn our route into the city, and meet with Fiskiert, the fisherman whose praise I hear a lot.. The image of Fiskiert’s famous fish soup is not enough to describe the mark it left on my palate, it deserves the praises about Fiskeriet, you probably need to come to Oslo to have a fish soup of this flavor. Luckily, they set up three or five tables so that we could taste the amazing flavors in Fiskeriet, which is actually a fish shop, and warmed us up on cold Oslo nights.. (Fish soup: 160 Kron)

Children can’t compare Fiskeriet to a restaurant ‘Is this the restaurant we’re going to tonight?’ he sneered, this time we turn our route to TGI Fridays, a restaurant that sells coloring books and crayons.. If we did not know the origin of TGI Fridays, which we saw 5 branches from the first day in Oslo, we would think it is a famous Norwegian chain. The famous Norwegian burger! and the chicken wings with sauce are carefully cleaning up, we apologize for the temporary inconvenience and say goodbye to TGI. (Hamburger 190, beer 70 Kron)

Karl Johans Gate (In Norwegian, gate means street, by the way) for the last time and we arrived at our hotel. we are returning. The Vandrerhjem Central we stayed at is more beautiful than many of the hotels I’ve stayed in, with its very central location, small but functional, brand new room and bathroom, minimal but quality breakfast.. It is a place that I can recommend blindly for an expensive city like Oslo, with its price including breakfast, which is equivalent to 100 Euros per night for 4 people.
