In fact, it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2012. There are multiple museums, inns and historical houses in this beautiful district, which makes up half of Eskişehir.. That’s why I wanted to collect all Odunpazarı attractions under one article.. And I have listed the most important points you should go to in the Odunpazarı Region one by one below.. Shall we start our Odunpazarı trip?

Before talking about the places to visit in Odunpazarı Houses, I would like to briefly talk about the history of the district and where it is located in Eskişehir :
1. Odunpazarı History & Where are the Odunpazarı Houses?
I would like to start with this: Odunpazarı is an important region on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.. Inside, there are historical houses from the Ottoman Period.
If you have seen Safranbolu Houses, you will see that the architecture and motifs of Odunpazarı Houses are similar to each other.
By the way, another reason why Odunpazarı is so important is that it is the first settlement of Eskişehir… There is even a story that spreads from word of mouth about the subject.. It is as follows:
The first people who came to settle in Eskişehir hung sheep livers in both regions to choose one of the districts of Porsuk Stream and Odunpazarı.
And they preferred to settle in that area because the liver in Odunpazarı deteriorated at the latest.
<
“What kind of place is this area, which is the first settlement area?” if you say; I would answer that it is a beautiful place hidden in the historical texture with its historical bay windows, beautiful curvy roads, dead-end streets with wooden decorated houses and different museums.
By the way, “Where is Odunpazarı?” To the question, I can say that together with the Tepebaşı district, it constitutes the center of Eskişehir.
Adding beauty to the hills in the southern part of the city, this historical district has a higher elevation compared to other districts.
Of course, I also wrote Where is Eskişehir – How to Go – Map – Population to explain these issues better. I say you should definitely read it.
2. Odunpazarı Places to Visit

It has an important place in terms of history as it hosted Mustafa Kemal Atatürk during his visit to Eskişehir during the War of Independence.

Now, shall we take a little journey into Eskişehir’s economic past? And on a journey to a museum with 600 artifacts?
In this beautiful journey, all the artifacts, along with their stories and features, are presented beautifully, accompanied by a guide.. The guide tour is very productive.
Because you can’t understand that a carpet hung on the wall in the museum is actually a map, if the guide didn’t tell you.
Meanwhile, the development of brands such as Kalabak Su and ETi from Eskişehir are exhibited in the museum.
What you ate when you were little but when you see the products that are not produced now, you almost go back to your childhood. There are good stories, I think you should definitely go.

2.8 The Museum of Wax Sculptures
Let’s come to the museum where you can take pictures with famous people and share them on social media. So what’s the name? :
Actually, the real name of the museum is : Eskişehir Yılmaz Büyükerşen Wax Sculptures Museum. Do you know who Yılmaz Büyükersen is?
Mayor of Eskişehir. He is also the owner of 166 works in the museum.
Buyukerşen has made wax sculptures of many familiar faces, from historical heroes who grew up in our country to artists, writers, journalists and celebrities around the world.
Perhaps it is a nice museum to take pictures with people you will never meet in your lifetime. Of course, some sculptures are made one-on-one, while others do not look realistic.
But considering the construction stages, I think they did a good job.. That’s why I think we should go to the first wax museum brought to our country.

2.9 Selale Park
Seale Park in Odunpazarı Region I left it to the end. Because this is a place built on the hills of Odunpazarı.
It would be great if you go a little before sunset, after finishing all the places to visit in Odunpazarı.. Because when you go out to the park, you can watch the whole of Eskişehir from a bird’s eye view.
It is very enjoyable to watch Eskişehir and sip coffee with the view that occurs when the sun is close to sunset.
Let me explain why they call it Waterfall Park right away: The name of the park comes from the artificial waterfall that covers an area of 1400 square meters.
“So what else is there in the park apart from this artificial waterfall?” If you ask; I can count them as mini amphitheater, windmill, children’s playground, walking paths, observation terrace, cafe and restaurant.
As I said above, although many places in Odunpazarı and Eskişehir are close to each other, it is efficient to go to places like Selale Park by car, to make good use of your time.
For example, you can go to the Selale Park on foot, but it is very tiring because you have to go uphill a lot.
This is why Eskişehir’ I recommend you to rent a car in order to travel more comfortably.. If you are wondering how to rent a car, you can check the link.
Of course, those who do not want to walk or who do not want to rent a car can also reach the park by public transport.
But let me say this: There is no vehicle that goes to the park frequently. However, when you come to the entrance of Odunpazarı Houses, the bus number “1” goes up to the hill, for your information.
After finishing the places to visit in Odunpazarı, the most popular area of Eskişehir, I thought you would like to stay in authentic buildings here and :
