I always thought that those who go to Van by plane must have their eyes fixed on the half-moon shaped “Nemrut Crater Lake” in Tatvan.. Every time I go to Van, I prefer to sit on the left side of the plane.. When the plane starts to descend, I would wait to watch the crater lake for 1-2 minutes (especially during the snowy winter months) and I would like to have the chance to see this lake up close, which I can see from miles above, one day.. That’s why I wanted one of my first travel articles to be about this lake..
We set out for Nemrut Mountain Crater Lake on a sunny day in mid-May.. While climbing the mountain road by car, we watched a wonderful view of Tatvan and Van Lake on our right.. When we climbed to the top of the mountain, 3-4 meters of snow greeted us, which caused us to be surprised.. Since the snow blocked the road, the road was cleared with vehicles and you continue on your way in the middle of 3-4 meters of snow.. As we witnessed one of the rare natural events in that season, we realized that we made the right decision by coming to the lake.. After sharing these beautiful memories that remained in my mind during the trip, let me give you some information about the lake:
