Asian green island Bali, with its magnificent natural beauties and breathtaking coasts, is considered one of the most beautiful honeymoon destinations in the whole world.. I think that it is a little unfair to highlight the island of Bali, which is one of the first destinations that come to mind for honeymoon in our country in recent years, with its warm locales, Asian culture and tropical flavors; however, I wanted to shed some light on the subject with this article for those who are still planning to spend the first days of their marriage here.
Bali; It is a very different location from the European cities we frequently prefer to go to, with the various campaigns of the airlines and its proximity to our country.. This beautiful island, which is one of the 17 thousand islands of Indonesia, with its geographical location, ends the dry season while we are living the winter, maintains its temperature between 27-30 degrees all year, even though it enters its rainy days as of December, and with its beaches covering steep slopes against the Indian Ocean, those who love water sports. a paradise for. The biggest reasons why it is mentioned a lot as a honeymoon island are its long beaches and peaceful nature.. On the other hand, far beyond the cultures we are accustomed to, with its fascinating nature and very happy people, it is the greenest route to choose for couples who are tired of the slow wedding tempo to relax and get over the past stressful days and quickly adapt to their new life.. Yes, it is a must see and experience place for travelers; but the ‘honeymoon’ concept does its best.
Things to Know Before You Go
#Bali’s honeymoon concept:
A vast ocean view, lush green and breathtaking beauties among the mountains… Even now, when I think about 1.5 years ago and write it, I get excited. Bali, where you will stay in luxury hotels, budget hostel-type houses or by renting a house, is one of the most beautiful and most different islands in the world with its mystical nature and spiritual environment that amazes people.. If I put all the beautiful words together and make a sentence for this place, I guess I still can’t explain it as clearly as it is reflected in my eyes.. Bali is probably the happiest island in the world.
The honeymoon concept of this place includes beaches where you can lie down against the ocean, and dreams while relaxing in an infinity pool against deep greenery.. The best part of Bali is that it takes you from this world and pulls you to another universe, while offering its authentic culture together with tropical beauties.. It’s not just the honeymoon, but this is where I’ll come if one day all my creativity runs out and I’m looking for a place to start over.
#Bali hotels:
Honeymoon in Bali The subject can be realized under economical conditions, and it becomes even more magnificent with luxury hotels.. On the island, which also offers affordable budget hotels in the style preferred in all other cities, honeymoon pleasure is of course mostly enjoyed in villas with private pools.. While large villas (as much as your home after marriage) prepared by luxury hotel chains with the concept of a private pool are among the most preferred accommodation options, the calm holiday understanding that is achieved after the tiring wedding process is really good for people.. Although the success of an island, which is at a very low level economically, in this luxury tourism balance, which keeps customer satisfaction at the highest level, is at a level that surprises people, tourism is one of the main livelihoods of the island, and therefore hotels and their employees have improved their service standards.. I’ve never heard of going to Bali and returning unhappy. We stayed at /strong>and I can say that we were extremely satisfied with both of our experiences.
As an accommodation option, it is also possible to rent a house with Air&Bnb; However, when it comes to honeymoon, I must say that the holiday concept offered by villas with private or shared pools is really different.. These types of hotels usually serve as bed and breakfast, if you don’t want to, you can not take the breakfast, which I do not recommend in Asian cuisine.. Since breakfast is the first meal of the day and you do not have many food alternatives in the time that will pass until the place you will visit, I do not want you to risk the first food of the day.. Lunch and dinner are served in a la carte restaurants in hotels, and there are many cuisine alternatives for tourists from all countries.. The daily price of the rooms/villas you will choose in such hotels will vary between 800-1,200 TL on average.. Of course, it is also possible to find more affordable ones.
Choosing a hotel on your honeymoon is very important; However, it is also very useful to know in advance the general features of the place you are going to and what it will offer you in terms of holiday.. Bali, for example, is an island that stands out a lot with its surfing and massage titles.. While the giant waves on the shores offer suitable environments for surfing at different levels, the unique massage and spa concept of Asian culture comes to you with the most relaxing options in Bali.
#Flight tickets:
The first thing you need to do after deciding on your honeymoon location is to solve the ticket issue; because if you are planning to go to a far place, you should keep in mind that all couples close to the wedding season are in the same excitement.. This means that most people tend to buy tickets on the same dates, so ticket quotas fill up quickly and prices increase.
For Bali, if you can, buy your ticket six months in advance. most logical. Since your route is far and has long flights and at least one connecting connection, your ticket will already be expensive.. The sooner you act, the lower the cost for both people.. For example; Five months before we got married, we gave up dreaming of honeymoon in Singapore and Bali, and we got our honeymoon tickets right after we got the day for our wedding from the municipality.. In general, our two-person tickets, which cost around 5,000 TL, coincided with Turkish Airlines’ first ticket quota to Singapore with our early departure, and we were happy to solve it for 3,500 TL.. Since our dates are high season, it was a great surprise for us to find this figure, now considering the increase in foreign currency, early ticket purchase really makes a big difference.. Sure, let me point out here that our honeymoon took place in two stages.. We first went to Singapore and then to Bali.. Our holiday covered 8 days in total. By purchasing our intermediate flights with Air Asia for 500 dollars, including our baggage rights, we completed the entire transportation with 5,000 TL.. After the tickets, you need to choose your hotels quickly, the prices increase as the places fill up.
#Flight information and visa:
Getting to Bali is usually by transfer via Singapore or Doha is happening. You wait at least 6 hours at the airport where you will transfer, but this sometimes increases to around 10 hours.. Since we were very tired about moving house and organization before our wedding, we never thought about transferring.. We wanted to see Singapore while we were there, so we made the first flight here and spent the first evening of our honeymoon sleeping comfortably at the hotel.. On the second day, we started our holiday by making our intermediate flight to Bali at an early hour.. After 6 days on the island, we returned to Singapore for the final part of our honeymoon and completed the final two-day phase.. It takes 10 hours from Istanbul to Singapore and 2.5 hours from Singapore to Bali.. Here are my Singapore notes for those who are wondering.
I have good news for everyone who has a problem with visa; Neither Singapore nor Bali require a visa.. You get a 1-month visa by giving the necessary information to both of them during your airport entrance and paying a figure ranging between 30-45 dollars.. When I say necessary information, I’m talking about standard questions such as the purpose of your visit, the number of days you will stay, and the name of the hotel.
#How to navigate the island:
One of the headlines that those planning a Bali trip should pay attention to this is one. During your travels, you may love to take your map and wander around; but on this island the situation is a little different. Bali’s pedestrian streets are quite narrow and congested.. The roads, which get crowded with locals preferring motors instead of cars in traffic, can complicate things a little and lead to a dead end.. Of course, you can also rent your motorbike for 7 dollars a day and determine your own route.. If you have experience in such experiences, I don’t think you will have much trouble, but still, it will be a bit difficult to find these narrow and unclear roads without navigation.
My suggestion is to make your tour more comfortable. agree with a guide and leave the job to the expert so that you can do it. This system is one of the main livelihoods of the island and therefore quite reliable.. Spacious and ‘air-conditioned’ cars provided by tour agencies create an environment for you to wander around in a comfortable environment all day.. Moreover, you also have the opportunity to talk about the places you will see with the person who is both your car driver and your guide.. Most honeymooners in Bali prefer the second method. It is very logical to choose this route, as it costs 30 dollars a day for someone who knows the roads well from morning to evening to transport you to the places you want to go.. Bali How to Plan a Honeymoon in
#Selecting the places to stay on the island:
If we’ve decided to go to Bali, it’s time to decide where to stay.. As I mentioned above, the subject of accommodation varies according to the budget and the island concept is generally based on villas with private pools.. Bali is a big island; Therefore, the most logical thing to do in order to see a wide area is to divide the holiday into two different regions.
The first regions that come to mind when Bali is mentioned, Kuta, Jimbaran and Seminyak are the surf paradises of the island. as a favorite of water sports lovers. Of course, for the same reason, being able to swim in these shores is not for every brave man.. In fact, to be frank, if you are staying in these areas, you will not be able to swim in their beaches.. What does that mean, we’re on our honeymoon, if you want to swim a little, then Nusa Dua is the place you should choose for your first stay on the island.. Its white sandy beach is much calmer than Kuta, Seminyak and Jimbaran, and the holidays here are equally serene.. After all, it’s on the opposite end of the island, on the opposite route to the others.
Honeymoon is already memorable enough, even if it doesn’t take place in Bali, but if there is a place that will make your first wedding holiday even more memorable, this is Ubud.. A simply perfect area between huge mountains and giant greens, perhaps on the banks of the Ayung River, where you will be completely integrated with nature.. Ubud is a unique place where those who come to Bali usually spare three days and are always unhappy because they have less days on their way back.. It’s really hard to find a region like this, so magnificent, and right in nature.. After organizing the first part of your holiday on one of the coasts, you can concentrate on the Ubud side. Those who come to Bali should definitely experience Ubud.
#Which hotel, how many days:
Your hotel choices are entirely up to you, but we stayed in Jimbaran for 3 nights We stayed at Ayana Resorts & Spa in , and 3 nights at The Royal Pita Maha in Ubud.. This plan worked very well for us, and staying in Jimbaran was a good choice for us, as the first days of the honeymoon were about getting tired.. If you want, you can reduce the day in this coastal part to 2 and increase Ubud.. Those who plan to stay in Nusa Dua may prefer Kayumanis, as far as I heard it is more beautiful than Ayana..
The location of our Ubud hotel covered a very large area. Imagine a 70-hectare forest area and a sprawling complex within it.. The Royal Pita Maha is indeed a hotel that meets all expectations and that one will never want to return after Ayana, which has become very popular on social media.. Really, 3 days is never enough, so stay longer if you can in this area.
An important point you should know is that most of the places you will visit in Bali are around or after Ubud. to be. As a matter of fact, since your travel plan will be on this route, I recommend that you do not spend a lot of time in coastal hotels.. Adding 1-2 more days to Ubud will also relax you in terms of the operation of the plan.. The island’s most popular luxury hotels include Oberoi, Four Seasons, Hanging Gardens, Bvlgari and Maya Ubud.
#Plan of attractions:
Bali’s over 20,000 temples hosting it has earned it the title of Island of Gods . Therefore, coming here means not returning without sharing Hindu rituals.. At the top of the places to visit are various temples with very different architectural structures; some are on a hillside overlooking the ocean, some are in the middle of a holy spring, some are on a vast plain with the most beautiful sunset.
Of course, being on an island like this means green also means exploring places. It wouldn’t be possible without adding the rice terraces and the lush forest of the sacred monkeys to the plans, behind which there is a lot of effort.. Cute monkeys swirling all around you will cheer up your hours, and the rice terraces will fascinate you with their brush-drawn nature.
Here are my notes on places to visit in Bali.
#What to eat, what to drink:
If we are talking about an exotic island in Asia, we should be ready to taste new flavors now! Details about the foods and flavors we tried in Bali, where we spent 6 days, are here.. A few venue suggestions are also a bonus in the honeymoon mode.
