London Entertainment Guide: London Nightlife and Festivals

England may come to mind for rainy and gray weather, but England, which is claimed to have one of the most famous nightlife atmospheres in the world, is nightlife. his life is the opposite! Especially London nightlife is very active and “Londoners”, that is, “London residents” are people who like to socialize. There are more pubs, bars and nightclubs in London than you would like. There are also wonderful music festivals in the UK during the summer months.. In this article, besides the London nightlife, you can also find the festivals that you should not miss if you go to London in 2017.

London Nightlife

On weekdays Brits flock to pubs after work, especially when the weather is nice. They go home after a few beers. There are so many pubs in England that you will definitely see one (at least one) on every corner.

Before you make plans for London: Read my LONDON travel article

British people don’t miss the good weather and throw themselves outside. Speaking of lots of pubs, below is a map of all the pubs in England. If anyone wants to do a pub crawl, let me know

1. London Pubs and Bars

Let me start with pubs and bars to give my suggestions for London nightlife. Pubs open early and usually close around 12 pm.. My favorites in London:

Big Chill House: The cocktails and atmosphere of this place, which is very close to King’s Cross station, are very good.. It gets very crowded on the weekend, if you’re going to be crowded and you don’t want to stand up, you can make a reservation.. It has both a covered area and a terrace.. Sometimes there are private parties in the indoor area upstairs.. Speaking of private parties, it’s not like that, friends, don’t be mischievous right away.. Parties that people organize with groups of friends.. Anyway, the terrace here is beautiful.. It is very pleasant to sit in the evening when the weather is nice.. i loved it so much. I used to go often because it is almost within walking distance of where I live.. I say don’t skip this place either.

  • Why go?: For their mojitos and terrace with London view.
  • Address: 257-259 Pentonville Rd, Kings Cross
  • Introduction and Beverage prices: Entry is free, beers are 4-5 pounds, wine glasses are 5-7 pounds, cocktails are around 8-10 pounds
  • Opening and closing hours: 11:00-00:00 on weekdays, 11:00-3:00 on weekends
  • London nightlife rating: 8/10 (perfect to start the night, or for a few weekday drinks too)

London Entertainment Places: Terrace Bars Are Very Popular in London

Barrio Shoreditch & Barrio Angel:  The name Barrio, a place with a Latin and tropical theme, there are 4 bloods in london. Available in Shoreditch and Angel districts, as well as Brixton and Soho. The tropical decor of the place is so beautiful.

I just went to these two. I like both very much. I actually liked Shoreditch better.. After 10 o’clock, next to the bar section, there is also an environment where you can dance, mostly music.. A little small in Angel but. You can also dine here until 10 am. By the way, although the age limit in England is 18, here it is 21.. If there are friends between the ages of 18-21 reading this article, I thought I would make a small reminder not to come back from the door later. There is “Cheerleader Hour” until 8 o’clock. Happy Hour, that is, drinks are more affordable.

  • Why go? : For its fun atmosphere, beautiful decor and cocktails.
  • Address: 141-143 Shoreditch High Street & 45 Essex Road Islington
  • Entry and drink prices: Free to enter, beers are 4-5 pounds, wine glasses are 6-7 pounds, cocktails are around 8-10 pounds, non-alcoholic cocktails are also here there is. Their prices are around 4-5 pounds.
  • Opening and closing hours: Between 11:00-00:00 on weekdays, 11:00-3:00 on weekends
  • London nightlife score: 9/10

London Entertainment Venues: Barrio Shoreditch

Frank’s Cafe: We came to my favorite. This place is only open in summer. Because this cafe/bar/restaurant is located on the terrace of a parking lot.. If you want to see a wonderful view of London, especially at sunset, you should go here.. (I think it’s better than London Eye). It’s free view, too.)

Don’t expect a harsh and serious environment. It has a very cool atmosphere and is a place where locals usually hang out.. Located in the recently popular Peckham neighborhood. If you prefer the places where locals go when you go to a city, you should definitely stop by Frank’s Cafe.. It might be a little hard to find because it’s not a touristic place.. If you are going to ask someone, you can find it easier if you ask them as “Multi-Story Carpark”.

  • Why go?: For its original concept and London view.
  • Address : 10th Floor, Peckham Multi-Story Carpark 95A Rye Lane (You can find it after a short walk by getting off at Peckham Rye station when you get on the Overground.)
  • Entry and drink prices: Free entry, beers 3-4 pounds, wine glasses 4-5 pounds, cocktails around 6-7 pounds, here There are also non-alcoholic cocktails.. Their prices are around 4-5 pounds.
  • Opening and closing hours: from 17:00 to 23:00
  • London nightlife rating: 9/10 (No crazy nightlife scene, this is the pub. A nice place to have a nice drink and chat.)

Apart from these, you can dance and have a drink at the Dragon Bar located in Shoreditch. You can try different beers at The York in Angel district at The Harp near Covent Garden, a typical English pub. (Beer prices here vary between 4-5 pounds.)

If you’re looking for a stylish setting and a perfect view, TheElectric Brixton and Cirque le Soir (I’ve never been here but they say it’s very good.). A bottomless pit for London nightlife. In fact, you can definitely find good nightlife events not only in London, but also in almost the whole of England.

3. London Music Festivals

One of my favorite things about England is UK based bands and UK festivals. The men don’t listen to the rain and mud and throw themselves at the festivals. There are also great festivals and concerts in London in the summer.

If you like festivals like me, I say don’t miss the festivals in London! They’re so good that they even deserve to be listed among the best music festivals in the world.

London Festivals

Field Day: It takes place every year in Victoria Park in East London and beautiful bands take the stage. The festival will be on June 3 this year.. You have a chance to see a lot of super performances like Aphex Twin, Flying Lotus and Moderat. If you’re going to be there in June, I say don’t miss it.

British Summer Time: This festival, which takes place in Hyde Park, is one of the most beautiful festivals in London.. It’s a day in the summer. In fact, we can call it a series of concerts.. This year it will take place on 30 June and 1-2-6-8-9 July.. There are concerts of Kings of Leon, Green Day, The Killers, Justin Bieber.

Lovebox: My favorite London festival! It takes place in Victoria Park in July. If you’re going to be in London on July 14-15 this year, I’d say take a look.. Get tickets in advance of course. There’s a Jamie xx concert as well. It is the place to say it will never be found again.

Other than these, one of the best festivals in the world that I would like to go to one day, Glastonbury is on 21-25 July this year. It will take place in the Somerset area, just a short distance from London.. Of course, the tickets are already sold out.. Thought I’d write it anyway. I hope to go one day.
