How to Go to Delikli Koy. I’ve been to this hidden paradise, 16 km away from Alaçatı, three times in a few weeks.. At first, I thought I’d go swim a little, take a few pictures and move on.. After Alaçatı, you reach this cove by going up and down along the coast.. Navigation takes you right.
It takes about an hour from Izmir to Delikli bay.. First you arrive in Alaçatı. They said that minibuses run from Alaçatı or they come by taxi.. I went with my own vehicle. From a hill, I watched the view below. was insatiable. The first time I went downstairs, I asked someone and found out that Hole Kohy has two entrances.. The actual Hole Bay is a little further ahead, but the road down the hill is very rough.
“They usually leave the cars upstairs,” he says.. Vehicles close to the ground are having a hard time.. I don’t risk the job when I know I can get there by walking along the beach. I don’t even take money with me because I know it’s a virgin bay.. Young people are camping on the wooded side where I landed. I care so much. There are a lot of dogs. watch out for dogs. They can be aggressive at dusk. The road is a bit challenging, but this place is suitable for a caravan camp for those who do not need a facility.

The famous Delikli Koy’ in a short time by walking along the beach I reach and the Perforated stone. A tunnel-like hole in the white rocks stretching out to the sea that gives Delikli Bay its name. These rocks and the hole separate these two bays. The first time I went, they were going over the rocks very hard to that side.. The second time I went, they put a ladder down the rocks.. Everyone was passing comfortably.
There were even mobile toilets in the other bay and here where I left the car.. There are so many people that it was the right decision.. Even the municipality comes and collects the garbage.. There is a feverish photo traffic in Delikli Bay.. You have to be in the queue. I throw my towel on the beach and I start photography.. I see a deaf couple is trying hard for a photo.. Then I ask them to take my photo.. They take beautiful photos.
I came early and walked around on the rocks and then spread my towel on the beach, it turns out that the precious thing here is the top of that rock.. All the young people came by snatching their chair and beer. The top of the rock is never empty. I find a place for myself in the rocks at the first opportunity.. Young people are having such a good time. They turned on their music, their beer, sometimes they dance, sometimes they chat. Like Istanbul’s Caddebostan. I like it very much.
You’re hungry, Hole Koy
I just don’t want to go in Hole Koy, where I said I’d just spend a few hours and go. There is a very cute caravan in the bay. The man getting out of the Anadol car opens the trailer. Turns out he was selling drinks.. Beer was 17 lira. Does not sell food. I did not take money, food, water, anything with me.. It comes from the corn seller to the mussel seller, but I don’t have any money.. I’m too lazy to go to the car.
Photo traffic never ends in Delikli Tas all day long.. The back of the sea is full of white rocks. That’s the photo area.. There are so many brides coming in my next visits.. Wherever you turn your head, you come across an exterior shot.. Lastly, we see a couple going into the water in a wedding dress in Delikli Taş.. I thought I was a photography freak, but I don’t think it’s relevant.
Behind the Perforated Stone, there is a cave in the water. It also has a connection to the outside when you swim in it.. It makes me very happy to go there and swim and see the deep blue water in the cave.. Usually everyone turns around at 5 o’clock and I’m left alone on the beach.. It gets quite crowded here in the evening.. As far as I can tell, those who quit their job get their food and drink and breathe here.
An Izmir person I met there says, “We didn’t come here after we liked it, it became very popular later on”. In the evening, even though I don’t want to go, I pack up and walk from the beach to the cove where the car is.. There’s a family selling meatballs and bread in a minibus. Their cute son is always walking around the dark. He shouts “meatball buttermilk-meatball buttermilk”. Before I die of hunger, I give 15 liras and attack like hungry wolves.. On my next visits, this meatball and bread minibus was not available.
- There is always a wind in these parts. That wind can blow the dust of the white rocks above you.. I got pretty dusty the next time I go. Don’t say he didn’t say it.
- The sea is a bit stony. It is also useful to bring a sea shoe with you.. If you have a mask, it is also enjoyable to watch the bottom of the sea.. Especially the image at the bottom of the perforated stone is very legendary.. Little red fish were swimming when I went.
