I’ve used both sites many times and haven’t had any issues.. Sometimes the hostel in one may not be in the other, so I suggest you to scan from both sites.

No matter which site you use, make a reservation must be in the name of the person going. In fact, although some sites can make reservations on behalf of someone else, I do not recommend it.
Your name on the reservation should be as written on your passport. If booking for more than one person, you do not need to write each person individually.

First of all, great attention should be paid to the history part. For example, 10 December 2019 check-in 12 December 2019 check-out is a two-night reservation. Your check-in date represents the night you will stay.. Even if you know these, a number that you will miss in history can cause big problems.. That’s why I say look at the date a few times when booking a hostel.
It is also important to spell the name correctly and express the number of guests correctly.. In addition to these, the special conditions of the hostel should also be examined well.

Each hostel may have different conditions.. For example, one person may not accept persons under 18, and the other may not accept pets. Even if you make a correct reservation, you may be turned down by not paying attention to them.
In addition, financial conditions should be considered.. Some hostels may add tax on the price written there, or there are places where the bed linen is subject to a fee!

Payment part in hostel reservation is a bit confusing. Now, a prepayment or authorization is usually requested no matter which site you book from. If you are making a non-refundable reservation, instant payment can also be requested.
If your dates are clear, I can recommend prepaid reservations.. Because you will not suffer from exchange rate fluctuations and you will not have to worry about paying when you go. Especially when you go to another country, you may not get the local currency immediately, which can cause payment problems.
Another option is free reservation. pay when you go with. No advance fee is charged for such reservations.. But there is a deadline for cancellation. If you pass this deadline, you will be asked for a credit card to guarantee your reservation.. If you go to the hostel, you will be charged as usual, but if you do not, a penalty fee will be charged to the guaranteed card as per the rule.
My suggestion to you is, use a small debit card for booking. The system both accepts this card and cannot withdraw money from you in case of a possible negativity
