We take our breath away in Hong Kong on a cold winter day when our love for the Far East relapses. While we are experiencing cold winter days in Turkey, the fact that it is summer in the Far East is the biggest factor in our love.. We are stationed at Shamrock, a central hotel with small rooms in Hongkong, and we start wandering around the city of slanted eyes.
Our hotel Hong Kong One of the busiest streets of the city, at the top of the list of Places to Visit and See, in Nathan Street. All streets and streets are covered with neon-lit signs, we are moving brightly.. The metropolitan effect is clearly felt in Hongkong. The smiling faces we see in other Far Eastern cities are not here.. Whether you are a Buddhist, a Muslim, a Christian, if you live in a big city, there is no trace of patience, tolerance and joy.. Let’s spread accurate information.
Have you seen any other nation that is as busy with mobile phones as we Turks? I saw. Hong Kong residents are so attached to their phones that ‘Don’t look only at your mobile phone’ is written on escalators all over the city.
1 – TEMPLE STREET NIGHT MARKET
Christmas is approaching, the streets are shining, we are enjoying our first evening in Hong Kong in the capital of the country of modern slants.. Finally, we stop by Temple Street Night Market, Hongkong’s biggest night market, right next to our hotel in Kowloon area.. It is possible to come across interesting products in the market, which is set up in the afternoon and continues until midnight, and bargaining is a must here, as in all markets in the Far East.
The first Michelin starred restaurant in the world for our first dinner. Mall restaurant We choose Din Thai Fung. There is a queue at the door. We print our name and come half an hour later, dumpling, noodle, spring roll, it doesn’t hurt, we dive.
2 – KOWLOON PARK , PO LIN TEMPLE, TIAN TAN BUDDA STATUE
The next morning we will start our excursion just nearby We start at Kowloon Park on our list of Places to Visit and See in Hong Kong. The area, which was once used as a military zone by the British, is now a walking track filled with flower gardens.. Next up are PO LIN Temple and TIAN TAN Buddha Statue, which are among the highlights of the Places to Visit in Hong Kong list.
We arrive here first by the subway, and then by a long and pleasant cable car ride over the green mountains.. After visiting the temple, we wander around the touristic market and climb the huge Buddha statue.. The ascent is tiring but Buddha’s majesty is truly impressive. Again, we descend from the mountains by cable car and go back to the buildings.
3 – VICTORIA PEAK
This time our goal is again a The exit route is Victoria Peak, the highest point of Hongkong.Victoria Peak attracts millions of tourists every year with its view over the entire city, which is beautiful both during the day and at night. As cynical tourists, we climb the hill by tram half an hour before dark and have the chance to watch the magnificent view of Hongkong both day and night.. After a coffee break in one of the cafes in the region, we go to the city center by bus this time.
4 – HONG KONG STRAIT
Bosphorus’ Similarly, a strait in the middle of Hong Kong that separates Hong Kong Island from the Kowloon Peninsula, and engines that throw you to the other side in 10 minutes, just like the Üsküdar-Beşiktaş engines there is. With these engines, we can easily cross the road with the sparkling scenery, and take a coconut noodle break at one of the restaurants near the shore.
6 – SYMPHONY OF LIGHTS
After dinner every day at exactly 20:00 Symphony of Lights emanating from the buildings on the other side of the Bosphorus We take our place among the crowd of tourists who are stationed on the steppes by the sea to watch the musical laser show called, and the show begins.. I don’t know exactly if it’s because we set our expectations high, the show doesn’t seem very impressive to us.. Even getting a throat air in such a warm weather is pleasant.
7 – LAN KWAI FONG (LKF)
After the laser show is over we cross again and stop by the Lan Kwai Fong (LKF) area, which has the busiest nightlife in Hongkong. The density of white-collar whites draws attention at first glance. People are hanging out in the streets with their drinks in their hands, they are swinging to the music.. We have to adapt to the environment..
8 – AVENUE OF STARS
The second morning, after breakfast, Walk at the Holywood on the shore of Victoria Bay We’re walking on the Avenue of Stars inspired by Fame. Anyone who doesn’t pose for karate with Bruce Lee doesn’t count as coming to Hong Kong, we take our pose.
We want to see the modern part of the city again, we are going to Hong Kong Island from Kowloon Peninsula again by motorbike. We marvel at the crowds of buildings and people in this area with shopping malls and business centers.
9 – HONG KONG PARK
Quiet quickly. misses, we change course to Hong Kong Park. Hong Kong Park, which I can define as an oasis in the desert, is visited by approximately 1 million people every year. The park has been deemed worthy of many awards both for its design and for the services it provides.. Flower gardens, waterfalls, ponds, we really find peace here.
The bellies are ringing, but we are far from the center and we are tired.. Whatever we do, we come across a restaurant with a pleasant garden in the park, I was happy to find an oasis in the desert and ran to take our place.. Sushi and beef noodles in a giant bowl. Mmmmm. Even if we eat again.
Our flight time is approaching. We take the express train, which is the fastest mode of transportation between Hong Kong Airport and the city center, and reach the airport in 25 minutes.. It is useful to take a sea vacation when it is winter in Turkey and you have come this far.. Wait for us Phuket, we are coming.
