Gocek Bays with Turquoise Sea

As you know, Göcek mostly appeals to boat owners.. In fact, Göcek beach has completely turned into a marina, so it is not possible to see the sea from the boats, let alone swimming in the center.. Of course, this does not mean that there are no good places to swim in Göcek, you just have to set your target to Göcek Bays.

Three swimming places in Göcek are threefold. We can divide into. Easily accessible Göcek beaches; beaches that you can easily reach by a short walk from the center or by car. Göcek bays, which are difficult to access; Coves that can be reached by walking on long paths or have bad roads that cannot be entered by a passenger car.. Gocek Bays without highways; Coves that cannot be reached by land and can only be reached by boat.

Easily Accessible Göcek Beaches

>> Blue Point Beach>> İnlice Beach>> Daily Beach>> Ayten Bay ( Poruklu Bay)>> Osmanağa Bay>> Katrancı Bay>> Sarsala Bay>> Göcek Island

>> Sıralıbük>> Martı Bay (Yavansu Bay)>> Merdivenli Bay>> Göbün Bay>> Aquarium Bay>> Shipyard Island>> Yassıca Islands (Yassıcalar)

1- Blue Point Beach

The only beach in the center is Blue Point Beach in D-Marin. The location is very nice, the sea is already perfect and the white sand brought from Egypt adds a very nice atmosphere to the beach.. Of course, as you can imagine, this is a paid beach, Blue Point Beach entrance fee is 400 TL per person.. No, you didn’t hear it wrong, yes, in writing, FOURTY HUNDRED TL.. no accommodation is not included This fee is definitely paid, but we do not know what kind of service there is inside since we did not enter.

2- İnlice Beach

The most beautiful place in Göcek It may not be a beautiful beach, but we can say that it is the most ideal beach thanks to its proximity to the center, clean sea and green trees surrounding it.. Since it is a public beach, all services you may need such as showers, toilets and cafeterias are available.

Inlice Public Beach is free, but if you come by car, a parking fee of 15 TL is charged.. Since the number of umbrellas and sunbeds is limited, you can only rent them if you go early; 2 sunbeds 1 umbrella 30 TL. Instead, you can bring your own chair and set up in the shade of the tree like us.

The entrance to the sea at Inlice Beach, which has black sand, is a bit stony, but there are not enough sharp stones to require sea shoes.. It’s getting deep too fast already and it’s over your height. The water is very clean, you can see a lot of fish even on the shore, it’s nice to swim with the fishes even if they bite sometimes.

3-Günlük Beach

One of the beaches close to Göcek center, Günlüklü Beach, Located in Küçük Kargı Nature Park. You’ve probably heard of the sweetgum tree, its less common name is the Daily Tree.. The beach takes its name from these trees, the nature park is actually a sweetgum forest.

Günlüklü Beach is similar to İnlice in terms of sand and sea.. No problem finding shade, a place where you can go early in the morning and spend the whole day. It is a nice feeling to be able to take a walk among the sweetgum trees when you are overwhelmed by the heat during the day.

This is a large beach with both a public beach and a private business.. But don’t let this mislead you, the Introduction to Miserliness 101 course says; If a beach is in a national park, it can be as many public beaches as it wants, the entrance is indirectly paid.. Küçük Kargı Nature Park entrance fee is 27 TL by car, 9 TL per person if you enter on foot. If you have the question whether sunbeds and umbrellas are included in this price, think again.. This is a free beach so everything is not included.

4- Ayten Bay (Poruklu Bay)

Rixos Premium is a small beach that goes by Göcek. Ayten Bay, which you can reach via the forest road, has turned into a picnic area because it is surrounded by trees.. Since the area is not very big, you stay in the barbecue smoke.. Even though the 1-2 kilometer section of the road is a bit rough, you can go to the bottom of the sea with your car without too much trouble.

There is no facility near Ayten Bay, so you have to do your shopping and come back.. However, it is about 5 kilometers from the center, although the road is bad, you can reach the center in a maximum of 15 minutes.. When we think about it, we can even say that it has the most convenient access among the Göcek Beaches.. The water is quite still and there are stones at the bottom that cut the foot.. There are also sea urchins, so if you bring sea shoes, you will be more comfortable.

If you are looking for a place to camp in Göcek, Ayten Bay is a cove that can be preferred because it is close to the center.

5- Osmanağa Bay

About one and a half kilometers away from Ayten Bay and looks like a beach here. The longer and rougher road is advantageous. In this way, Osmanağa Bay is a little less crowded. However, there are too many boats and you have to swim through the ropes of the boats.. Of course, this boat density is valid for all Gocek Bays, let’s remind that too.

Osmanaga Bay beach is completely under the shade of trees and has a really beautiful view.. The bottom of the sea is stony, the water is warm and deepens fast. Although it is a place that can be preferred for camping due to the fountain in the bay, it is forbidden to set up a tent and the gendarmerie comes and warns it during the day.. However, there are still people who camp at night.

6- Katrancı Bay

Like Güngünlü beach, this is a nature park, the entrances are different. but the forest is the same maybe even a connection between them. The area where the sheep is located is called Katrancı Bay Nature Park. It is a sheltered bay, so there are not many waves, but the sea is a bit blurry because the sand is very thin.

The nature is truly magnificent, it is a place you can choose especially for camping.. Katrancı Forest Camp has tent areas and bungalows for rent. If you want to pitch a tent, it’s not easy to find a place and they don’t take reservations.. You go early in the morning and wait for someone else to leave.

There are facilities such as shower and toilet, but they are not used very cleanly.. If you ask us, the worst part of Katrancı Bay is that you can have barbecues everywhere.. If at least a certain area is reserved and a barbecue is lit only there, the entire beach will not be covered in smoke.

For entrance fees, you can check out the Entry to Stinginess 101 course Also for Katrancı Bay, it’s 27 TL at the entrance. You have to pay a fee.

7- Sarsala Bay

You can reach Sarsala Bay via Dalaman by car. It has slightly warmer water compared to Göcek Bays. You can reach here from Dalaman by a 16-km road that is a bit winding and rough, but not too bad to go.

There are cafes and restaurants operated by Dalaman Municipality on Sarsala Beach. advantage, of course, that’s why the beach is very crowded.

8- Göcek Island

Gocek Island, located at the mouth of Gocek Bay; The bay, which is already closed as a natural harbor, makes it well sheltered.. What we really want to talk about is the wonderful beach of Göcek Island; Apart from Blue Point Beach, this is the only beach you can reach from Göcek center without a car.. There is only one small detail. You need to get on the boat to reach Göcek Island Beach.. You can reach the island in 15 minutes with the boat minibuses departing from Göcek Belediye Marina every hour.. The cost of swimming in Göcek Island; A total of 100 TL, including a round-trip boat fee of 50 TL and a beach entrance fee of 50 TL.

The sea is truly magnificent, you should definitely have goggles with you.. As for the facility, we can say that it needs a little more care.. By the way, we heard news that Göcek Island was sold in 2020, so we don’t know what will happen in the future.

The last of the easily accessible Göcek Bays was Göcek Island. From here, things start to get a little more difficult.

9- Boynuzbükü

Because it is very sheltered, Boynuzbükü is one of the bays that have been invaded by private boats.. That’s why 12 islands boat tours don’t stop here, but you can see it while passing by.. Although the water is a little cloudy because it is sand, the sea is quite clean and without waves.. There are a few flies, but not unbearable.

Compared to other Gocek bays, the biggest difference of Boynuzbuku is that it can be reached by road.. But let’s say the road is very, very bad. We say don’t push your luck with a passenger car.. It is very difficult to enjoy the bay without a boat anyway, there is a small pier, but boats dock here as well.

By the way, Boynuzbükü Restaurant, located in the bay, did not serve in 2020.. It is said that the tender for the Boynuzbuku Yacht Mola Casino has been canceled and will be reopened under the management of the municipality.. But bring your food and drink with you just in case.. Because there are no other businesses here.

10- Kille Bay (Killebükü)

Another bay between Göcek Bays that you can reach by car is Kille Bay, transportation is already provided via the same road as Boynuzbuku. The road to Kille Bay is a little shorter. You need to go a little further for Hornbuku.. This is why Kille Bay is much more crowded; it is a bit of a disadvantage, but the small number of boats is also a big advantage.

Kille Bay has a wide beach but is seriously neglected.. The municipality has put garbage cans here, but despite this, garbage has been thrown both on the beach and in the forest.. That is, it is truly astonishing that people who are not too lazy to come to that rough road are too lazy to throw their garbage in the trash.

11- Büyükova Bay

12 Islands Boat Tours take a swimming break. Buyukova Bay lies between Boynuzbuku and Kille Bay. Although it is not an overly sheltered bay, its sea is calm and clean.. Boats anchor close to the shore, if you wish, you can swim to the shore and cool off under the trees.. But beware of sea urchins, it is an interesting type of sea urchin with very long spines and even if you have sea shoes, it will not help.. There is no boat crowd you will encounter in Göcek Bays, so it is very nice for swimming.

12- Bedri Rahmi Bay

When Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu came to this bay known as Taşyaka in 1974, he wanted to leave a work on the bay and made a fish figure on a rock.. Over time, because of this work, the bay began to be called Bedri Rahmi Bay.

The bay has a very wide and clean water.. There are also restaurants, but since their target audience is yacht customers, the prices are a bit expensive.. Daily boat tours generally prefer Bedri Rahmi Bay for a lunch break.. It has a small pier so you don’t have to swim to the shore to get off and take a walk.

13- Cleopatra Bath Bay

Not all tours go, so if you want to see Cleopatra Hamam Bay, it is better to ask from the beginning.. Tours going here stop for lunch instead of Bedri Rahmi Bay.. Since they take a long break, you also have the chance to swim.

The sea is turquoise and very clear, as in all Gocek Bays.. However, we can say that the main event in this bay is swimming among the ruins of historical sunken baths.

If you are looking for an alternative other than boat to come to Cleopatra Hamam Bay, the only option is to go to Sarsala Bay by car via Dalaman and walk from there.. It’s not just an easy way; The path takes a little more than an hour.

14- Sıralıbük

At the beginning of Göcek Bays, which is the most suitable for large yachts, Sıralıbük coming. The most important reason for this is that it has very deep waters.. It is known as Deep Bay in foreign sources due to its deep waters, and even among yachters in Turkey there are those who call it Deep Bay.

Sırırıbük is covered with pine trees and is surrounded by pine trees. It has a slightly different beauty than other Göcek Bays with its mountain goats roaming its shores.. Also, the water is a little colder due to the fresh water that mixes into the sea.

15- Martı Bay (Yavansu Bay)

Located right next to Cleopatra Bay, Yavansu Bay. For this reason, it is better known as Martı Bay.

You can only go to Martı Bay by sea, but most of the 12 islands boat tours do not stop here.. A cove that can be preferred if you have your own boat or if you have rented a boat. Thanks to the small pier it has, you can easily go to the shore and take a walk. It has a dark, sheltered bay and clear sea.. The name of the sheep comes from the stairs carved into the rocks.. You can reach the 4-5 digit village above by using these stairs.. You can also do a lot of walking; you can walk among the trees towards Martı Bay, or you can go in the opposite direction and reach the restaurants in Göbün Bay.

17- Göbün Bay

Daily boat a beautiful bay for private boats, if not for tours. Göbün Bay, which has a very narrow entrance, is a very preferred Göcek Bay because of its natural beauty as well as Göbün Restaurant and Muhammer’in Yeri.. However, it is useful to know that it is a very small bay.

18- Aquarium Bay

One of the dozens of Aquarium Bays on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts is in Göcek.. Let’s not lie, there is such a clear sea that there is no need to think of another name. This beautiful bay, which is a frequent destination for daily boats, is between Domuz Island and Tersane Island.. Aquarium Bay, which has become very sheltered thanks to the islands around it, was one of our favorite bays in Göcek.

Aquarium Bay also has an excellent underwater view, a very long viewing distance. and you can see all kinds of fish. There are also the ruins of the historical lighthouse.. Don’t think of a place like Hamam Bay, only stones are left here, and you might not understand if you didn’t know that there is a lighthouse ruin.

19- Shipyard Island

Tersane Island, next to Pig Island, is the largest island in the Göcek Bay. There are 2 bays on the island. First; Tersane Bay, also known as Winter Port, and the second one; Summer Port.

Tersane Bay‘s entrance is too narrow to be seen from afar, you enter the bay by passing through a place like a canal.. The depth in the bay does not exceed 10 meters and it drops to 5 meters in places.. There is also a restaurant with a pier in front of it.. During the daytime, the boat traffic in the bay is very busy.. However, in the mornings it is very calm and at the same time enjoyable.

You can walk to the Winter Harbor through the old shipyard ruins starting from the shore of Tersane Bay.. It can be preferred because it is a cove with a beach and is a little quieter.

20- Yassıca Islands (Yassıcalar)

12 Islands Boat Tours ‘s final stop is usually Yassica Islands. It is definitely worth seeing with its different structure consisting of many small and large islands and islets.. There is a small pond on one of the islands, and it creates a very interesting view, especially when viewed from above.

You can get off at the Big Yassıca Island and take a short walk to a higher position and enjoy the view from above.. In addition, the islands are very close to each other and it is very comfortable to swim, and some of them are so shallow that you even have the chance to walk. then the Yassıca Islands were not very attractive to us.. It’s obvious that we don’t like it much, even if we place it at the bottom of our Göcek Bays list..
