Another option for transit from Turkey to Batumi is; Direct buses to the city depart from Trabzon.. You can also get direct transportation from Hopa and Kemalpaşa.. Batumi bus ticket will cost around 40 TL on average. Another option is Hitchhiking.
After passing Trabzon, make sure that almost 50% of the cars go to this city (I don’t know about the transit conditions of Batuma by car.). You can consider the hitchhiking option without hesitation.. But I will have a warning. If possible, I would say prefer Turkish cars.
