Food and beverage guide in Jordan. Jordanian food.

What to eat in Jordan? How is Jordanian food? When it comes to eating and drinking in Jordan, the only problem is breakfast. For the rest, all I will say is: You will have great food.. Shall I talk about the meat cooked under the sand in the desert, the delicious chicken rice, or the fish you will eat in Aqaba? So you will never go hungry. Jordan got full marks from me in terms of both the closeness of our taste buds and the variety of food.. Come on, let me tell you what we ate and how much we paid one by one.

Breakfast : Don’t expect much from breakfast in Jordan.. In general, they have bread similar to our flatbread.. There is no food problem in luxury hotels anyway.. I’m not even talking about them.

But I’m sure that in the areas where the people are, those who are hungry will be satisfied with omelettes etc.. It is usually around 2-3 Dinars.. By the way, you will drink a lot of tea. Teas are delicious. I love it. But always sweet. let me know. While they are brewing the tea, they throw sugar in it.. So be warned if you’re a sugar-free drinker.

Lunch and Dinner : There are global restaurants like MC Donals, Burger King and KFC in Amman and Aqaba. I pass them straight. Prices are generally: 3-4 Dinars if you take it as a menu.

I explained how I found cheap flight tickets abroad and which search engines I used in my “Best Flight Ticket Search Engines” article one by one.. I definitely recommend you to read it.

Fattoush salad : It was the salad I liked the most.. Fattoush salad, which is a delicious salad that I love to eat in both Lebanon and Jordan: It contains crunchy pita breads, tomato, lettuce, cucumber and sumac.. It usually costs 2 Dinars.

Hummus : Hummus is an indispensable part of Jordanian dishes.. It is one of the most famous dishes eaten as a starter by adding tahini, cumin and lemon juice into boiled chickpeas.. indispensable in the Arab world.. It usually costs 1.50-2 Dinars.

Maklube : It is a famous Arabian dish.. Made with both chicken and meat. It’s a little expensive. 2 people cost 15-20 Dinars. It contains plenty of spices, rice and meat/. It is a difficult meal.. But it is so delicious. Do not leave without eating this.

Mansaf : Lamb meat and rice on the side. Kinda like boiling. Contains saffron. Its price is usually 6 Dinars.

Ayet bandora : Meat sauteed. But the varia was great. I will tell you in which restaurant all these dishes should be eaten, in my articles about cities.. Now I am writing to familiarize you with the food.. But the taste of this meat saute is still on my palate. Generally 3-4 Dinars.

Shawarma : Chicken/meat doner you know. But the Arabian way. Prices 2-3 Dinars. You will see many shawarma restaurants in almost every city center.

Fish : They say that the fish caught in the Red Sea is delicious.. You can eat fish especially in Aqaba.. Usually you pay 20 Dinars for 2 people. Fish soups are especially good.. If you wish, you can also eat small squids, red-colored fish and even lobster.. But it is expensive. around 50 dinars. We just took a picture. I will explain them in detail in my Aqaba Travel Guide article.

Kuzu tandır : When you go to Wadi Rum, go to a hotel called Sun City Camp.. If we said hotel, this is a camping place in the middle of the desert.. A very nice place. But quite expensive. Around 400 TL per night. But the hotel owner İbrahim, whom we met while in Petra, arranged this place for us somehow and we were very convenient.. We had dinner here in the evenings.

I explained how I stayed abroad economically, how I rented hotels-hostels and houses cheaply, in my “Economic hotel search engines” article, line by line.. I would definitely recommend you to take a look.

You can eat even if you don’t stay at the hotel.. The tandoori cooking under the desert has officially brought us back to life to relieve the tiredness of the day.. Make sure to do this. Afterwards, we sip our delicious tea by the fire burning in the middle of the desert, under the moonlight.. Those were the days !

Alcohols and Beverages : I wouldn’t be wrong if I said “tea”, Jordan’s national drink. Served in small cups, it can be plain or sweetened.. But it’s usually sugary.

They also drink mint lemonade morning and evening, and they’re very good at it.. I also recommend you to refresh. Beer brand “Carakale”. 3-4 Dinars in Markets, 1.50 Dinars in Aqaba. As I said alcohol will be cheaper in Aqaba. Beer at venues 5-7 Dinars. By the way, water in the market varies between 0.25 and 0.50 dinars.. What about coffee ?

Shopping in Jordan : Amman bazaars

They can’t go a day without drinking Turkish coffee. But not like ours in terms of taste.. But you get used to it after a while. Finally, let me talk about hookah.. There are hookah cafes almost everywhere.. Arab culture is passionate about hookah, and you’ll be smoking a lot in Jordan.. Prices are usually 4-5 dinars.

If you don’t have bad habits like cigarettes or hookahs, I say get them.. They smoke almost everywhere without exception. very behind on this. Finally, they have alcohol called Arak. Like our raki, but they drink it straight. It burns the throat badly and gets drunk after 1-2 glasses. The price is usually 3-4 dinars.
