The preparations for the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest started with TRT’s public national elimination.
In the national final, the TRT jury will take part in the 41st National Competition, which will be held in Oslo, the capital of Norway.. The song she chose to represent Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest was “Fifth Season”.
The song Fifth Season, sung by Şebnem Paker, seemed to be in the middle of the competition.
The song prepared by Levent Çoker and his team on May 18, 1996 won 57 points and won the competition 12th.. finished in rank. The lack of media attention brought the result to be ignored.
Undeterred by this result, Şebnem Paker will participate in Eurovision for the first time on behalf of Turkey in 1997 and will participate in Turkey’s Eurovision Song Contest.
