Hyundai Elantra 1.6 CRDi Elite AT Driving Impression

Korean automakers are getting farther every day. 5-10 years ago, they became the preferred brands from a brand that no one said I would buy that car.. In this case, especially the way covered in design has a great share.. When I went to South Korea as a guest of Hyundai 4-5 years ago, I had the opportunity to test the Elantra from Friday to Monday last week, when I saw it on the production line, I said why not bring this car to Turkey.. Moreover, the diesel automatic version. The golden mix of the Turkish market: diesel, automatic and sedan

Hyundai Elantra 1.6 CRDi Elite AT Interior and Exterior design

Hyundai is getting a German car design in the hands of German designers. Elantra with one of the most successful exterior designs in its segment. It has a kinetic design that gives the impression that it is moving even when stationary.

I believe that there is still a stage to be taken inside the vehicle.. It is good in appearance, but it does not satisfy me very much in terms of feeling, front panel design. The steering wheel is reminiscent of a game console.. There are many keys with many functions. The most interesting of these is the button for adjusting the stiffness of the steering wheel.. Steering wheel stiffness changes in sport, comfort and normal modes. Honestly, I’m one of those who prefer the steering wheel stiffness to change automatically according to speed.

The trunk of the vehicle is quite large. It can be opened without touching, but it would be much better if there was a handle inside so that it could be closed without getting your hands dirty.

A Separate Bracket for Navigation and Multimedia

On the other hand, the giant screen multimedia used in the car is not even offered in many premium cars today.. Even the navigation. Navigation is critical for travelers like me. While many luxury brands are still counting excuses for bringing a suitable map to Turkey, Hyundai has taken serious strides in this regard.. Even when we search for “Ciğerci Niyazi” in Edirne, we can find a location without specifying the street in the navigation of the vehicle.. The screen is huge and the orientation is pretty good. In my opinion, the most important problem in this multimedia system is poor voice recognition in voice commands.. I couldn’t find the name I said in my experiments.

Hyundai Elantra 1.6 CRDi Elite AT Performance

Car 120 gives confidence up to 130 km/h. However, the handling at higher speeds did not satisfy me a bit at first.. The fuel efficient tires used may play a part in this.. Even though the car makes me feel a little uncomfortable at high speeds, I think it is an important plus that my friends sitting in the back don’t feel this uneasiness.. As a matter of fact, after getting used to the vehicle, we managed to get between Florya and Edirne in a fast time like 2 hours.. Of course, despite making this journey at high speeds, the fact that there is no tremendous increase in fuel consumption is a plus point in my opinion.

Hyundai Elantra 1.6 CRDi Elite AT’s What I Didn’t Like?

The handling at high speeds was not what I wanted.. No inside handle to close the trunk without getting dirty. Steering wheel material is a bit slippery. It bothered me a little while driving. But this may be an inconvenience peculiar to me.
