Dream City Prague – Part 1

My brother and I came to Prague to take advantage of the October 29 holiday.. Prague is called Praha in Czech. Prague is both the capital and the largest city of the Czech Republic.

Prague is one of the important cities of Central Bohemia, which previously served as the capital of the Czech Republic and Slovakia when they were only one country.

Vltava River, Prague has a population of around 1.2 million.

Districts 1 in Prague. district, 2. divided into regions. one. the most central part of the region. This section is also the area where the old city is located.. 4. it means that you are in a very central place up to the region, so you can easily go everywhere by walking, but 4. After the district, it starts to shift outward from the city center and there are 20 districts in total.

The historical center of Prague has been on the UNESCO list since 1992.Prague , is referred to by many as the “Golden City”, “Romantic City” or “Fairytale City”. Most of the historical monuments in Prague are from the year they were built.. Because Prague’s biggest chance is 2. It was not damaged much in World War II.

The best point to start the Prague city tour is the current Presidential Residence.. The history of this building is almost 1000 years.. This building, which used to be the residence of the kings, now houses the President. The Guard Regiment in front of the building was neither connected to internal affairs nor to the army.. They were responsible for ensuring the safety of the president in case of any threat.

There was a different situation in the Czech Republic.. The communist regime usually comes to power by coercion.. Communists came to power through elections in the Czech Republic. This situation exists in only 2 countries in the world.. The other is Chile.. The first thing the communists did after coming to power in 1948 was nationalization.. They confiscate everyone’s property.. The advent of communism is different in every eastern European country.. They nationalize workplaces employing up to 50 workers in Hungary and up to 25 workers in East Germany.. But in the Czech Republic they nationalize up to 1 person. In other words, everyone is made an employee of the state, whether he is a writer, a grocer or a barber. being confiscated. Vaslav Pavel goes to jail in 1987, after finishing school. During the Velvet revolution he gets out of prison and is elected president. Vaslav Pavel is trying to change the system, but the communists of that time say “don’t believe this man, because he wants to get his old property back” Vaslav Pavel says “if I want something for myself, I am dishonest”. After the President is elected, a law is passed by the parliament and the first law is the return of the confiscated property.. Currently, Vaslav Pavel is, of course, one of the richest in the country.

People loved Vaslav Pavel very much before, but when he lost his first wife to cancer and married a young woman 1.5 -2 months later, the people got married without any mourning. very condemned. They haven’t liked it much since then.

The changing of the guard ceremony of the soldiers in front of this place is held every hour, this is worth watching. While we were visiting the Presidential Residence, kindergarten students had come to visit Prague.. They impart the knowledge of history to children at a very young age.

The History Museum, located in a very close area, is one of the structures worth seeing.. Even if the interior is not visited, the decorations on the outside of the building must be seen.. The figures drawn on a flat wall and the depth given to the wall are important.

When you walk to the right of the main square on this hill, you come to an area where you can photograph Prague from the top.. At this point, after taking lots of photos, we start walking into the castle.

After entering the castle, you will first see St.Vitus Cathedral.. This Gothic-style cathedral is not the largest in Europe, but it is the largest cathedral in the world.. The vitreous inside the cathedral is quite impressive. It is said that there is a cemetery under it.. This cathedral was opened for worship twice a year; one at Christmas time and the other during Easter. Surrounded by small churches, St.. Vitus Cathedral has recently become more popular in the field of tourism.

As we continue down this road, we continue to visit the number 22, where Franz Kafka lived for a while. home must see. The street where the house is located consists of small multi-colored buildings. You have to pay a small fee to visit Franz Kafka’s house.

It is possible to see many souvenir shops in this area.. A little further on, there is a different bronze statue. A large skull sculpture on the back of a man leaning forward, made of bronze. Even if it doesn’t make sense, everyone is taking pictures here. Of course we are too.

When it comes to accommodation in Prague, we can say that it is budget friendly.. Hotels are reasonably priced.. To give a few suggestions, you can choose the Belvedere hotel, which is 10 minutes by tram from the old town square and the Prague Castle.. The hotel is also 5 minutes’ walk from the National Gallery of Modern Art and a 10-minute walk from Stromovka Park and Letna Gardens. In addition, Hotel Golf, another quality hotel, is located 1.5 km from Anděl, which houses many restaurants, shopping centre, pubs and. The hotel is ideal in terms of the facilities and price it offers, and the city center is about 10 minutes by car.. If you are looking for a hotel in the heart of the city, you can also consider Barceló Old Town Praha, 300 meters from the old town square.. Karl’s Bridge, Jewish Quarter and Wenceslas Square are approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel..
