Cumalıkızık is a village in Bursa’s Yıldırım district, 11 km from the city center.. It is one of the 5 Kızık villages established on the skirts of Uludağ.. The village, which was included in the Unesco World Heritage list by Unesco in 2000, was registered as a World Heritage Site together with Bursa in 2014.. Here is Bursa Cumalıkızık is a historical village on the list of places to visit close to Istanbul.. Let’s take a look at our notes for Cumalıkızık, which is at the forefront when it comes to Places to visit in Bursa.
The correct address to answer the question of what it would be like to live in a village from an Ottoman Empire should be the village of Cumalıkızık.. When you enter the narrow stone-paved streets in the village and see the yellow, purple and bay windows in their rows, it is possible that you will feel like you have been teleported to a corner of history.
There are many things that make Bursa Cumalıkızık village famous.. The most important of these is the preservation of its historical texture.. The other is that it hosted the timeless Kınalı Kar series that you will encounter when you go to the village.. Nowadays, it is the address of weekend breakfasts for those who come not only from Bursa, but also from the surrounding districts, cities and even from Istanbul..
Where is Bursa Cumalıkızık Village?
The route you will follow to reach Cumalıkızık Village should be Bursa Yıldırım district. Cumalıkızık, a village established on the skirts of Uludağ, is located in the east of Bursa..
If you want to come here, you should consider alternatives to come to Bursa.. There are ferry and highway options for those who will come from Istanbul by car.. You can reach by ferry both via Yalova and Mudanya.. Osmangazi bridge and the new Bursa-İzmir highway can also be preferred for quick transportation.. Fast access is possible with the intercity buses going to Bursa.. These buses use new highways and bridges. You can reach Yıldırım and Cumalıkızık villages by minibuses from Bursa Bus Station.
Cumalıkızık Breakfast
Bursa Cumalıkızık village is an address for breakfast. However, this state of action or inaction brings along certain negative situations.. As you can have breakfast at any time of the day, the village has a remarkable status as a collective breakfast event, as it opens the doors of dozens of houses with various alternatives to their visitors..
First of all, I have to say that Cumalıkızık, which you will visit, is seriously overcrowded, especially on the weekend.. Although it is a good thing that he takes his car to breathe in this historical village, it is possible that you will be overwhelmed by the overcrowding in the village.. In addition, the crowd can get a little annoying when you see that bus tours enter the village one after another..
Let’s come to the breakfasts in Cumalıkızık. We had the opportunity to come here twice.. If you came to the village with the intention of having breakfast, we recommend that you do not exceed 10:00.. I say this not for breakfast, but for parking your car.. There is a large parking area at the entrance of the village.. Likewise, the primary school garden in the village is used as a parking lot.. Please do not enter the village square with your car and try to park your car.. The houses you go to for breakfast do not have parking lots..
The fact that there are many alternatives for breakfast has brought competition in Cumalıkızık.. The breakfast invitations that come without the opportunity to look around immediately turn into an action to sit down and get this job done..
We preferred Azime Ablanın Yeri for breakfast. Not only here, but in general, all houses and businesses offer similar service.. Scrambled eggs are added to the mixed breakfast consisting of cheese, cold cuts and jams.. There is no extra charge for tea and you can order extra pancakes.. We found the potato and cheese pancakes to be generally successful.. They are cooked and served hot. I think the natural products to be preferred here stand out as jams.. But if you say we are having breakfast with 100% village breakfast or natural products, that is a bit of a question mark..
As for the price, as of the date of this article, it is around 25 TL per person.. If you pay a maximum of 60 TL for breakfast pancakes and tea for 2 people.
