Aydın Bey, who left the corporate life and moved to Ayvalık, created a very sweet place from start to finish.. Desserts, new generation coffee tastes very good in Ayvalık heat. It was so close to our hotel so we stopped by every day, wish they had a larger area to sit outside. We love you Kvcii!
#2 Cafe Caramel:
A very sweet Ayvalık cafe with nostalgic decoration full of antiques. There are breakfast and food varieties, but it is most famous for its desserts.. Semolina dessert is very popular, we couldn’t help but try it and we loved it.. Its place is on Antikacılar Street, when the coolness of the evening starts, it is very pleasant to sit in.
#3 Güler Tatlıhanesi:
The curd dessert of Güler Tatlıhanesi, which was opened in 1946 A classic in Ayvalık. They used grape juice instead of sugar in their desserts and brought the gum from Lesbos.. Everything in Güler Tatlıhanesi, the pastry shop of the past, is so fresh and as if it was made by your grandmother.. It’s always crowded as it’s a very popular place.. Curd dessert, curd cookies, Kavala cookies and mastic ice cream are among the most popular ones.
#4 Macaron Custard:
The one that makes us the happiest in Ayvalık. everything reminds me of my childhood. I couldn’t find the taste of pudding that my grandmother made when I was little, anywhere else.. Until we come to Macaron Custard. Gum pudding is also very famous, but I think the star of this place is the almond one.. You should definitely stop by!
#5 Tik Mustafa’s Place:
When it comes to raki – fish in Ayvalık, it is a place that everyone recommends and can’t finish by talking about it.. Having bad appetizers in a place like Ayvalık means you’ll have to close that shop after a while.. At Tik Mustafa’s Yeri, the most popular appetizers are Crete pate, sea cowpea and cuttlefish, but you will not leave unhappy as they are very rich in terms of variety.. The street side and the winter gardens are beautiful, more reasonable in terms of price compared to Cunda places.. Don’t forget to make a reservation, otherwise you won’t be able to find a place.
#6 OK Meyhane:
We couldn’t go here after spending more time in Cunda, but my cousin’s in Ayvalık. We wanted to add it to the list because it is one of his favorite places in. The modesty and sincere atmosphere of OK Meyhane precedes its decoration and appetizers.. Original olive oil dishes and appetizers are as popular as appetizers; cinnamon pinto beans, chard with meat, tripe with chickpeas and Albanian liver are some of them. You can choose from the menu yourself, or you can try the fixed menus consisting of 10 cold and 5 hot appetizers.
#7 Aivali Food & Art:
Raki – if you are not on your fish day Aivali Food & Art can be a good alternative for dinner. Its menu is mainly meat; however, there are also extremely delicious Cretan appetizers that will not make you forget that you are in Ayvalık.. The place is quite beautiful, we think that the lack of a fish restaurant has made a difference in terms of Ayvalık cuisine as well.
#8 Trata Ayvalık:
Trata Ayvalık, location according to daily weather conditions a traveling restaurant. Our favorite in Ayvalık with its music, cocktails and menu, we think this is the best place to go at night. nice place. Their snacks go great with beer, but their main highlight is definitely their signature cocktail.. Olive branches and thyme became our favorites, if we had a few more days, we would go and try them all at other nights.. We beat Kraft in every way!
#10 Ma’adra Vineyards
Ma’adra Vineyards, Aegean and Marmara A vineyard that feels like France, on top of Madra Mountain, stretching where the regions meet. It stays in Gömeç as a location, it can be reached in approximately 45 minutes from Ayvalık.. In our opinion, the best thing to do is to go in the evening, close to sunset; However, since the number of tables is low, reservations must be made before going. Wine tasting is possible, the coolness, view and nature of the vineyard house is magnificent.. It also has a small but sufficient menu to match its wines.. You can follow the signs of Seki Vineyard on the way, Ma’adra Vineyards is also owned by Seki Vineyard.
IN CUNDA ISLAND WHERE TO EAT
#1 Cunda Karadeniz Patisserie:
The most famous of the patisserie, one of the island’s classics, is curd dessert. On hot days, taking a sweet break at their shady tables is a must.. Although the curd dessert is very popular, our favorite was the almond pudding.. Its taste is still in our mouths!
#2 Taş Kahve:
Taş Kahve, the meeting point of the people of Cunda, is one of the most characteristic places of Cunda with its stained glass windows and stone architecture.. Its history stretches back 150 years, its coffee is ground right in front of your eyes.. In fact, there is also a sitting area outside; but its fun is definitely indoors. We can say that Taş Kahve is the most popular place of the island from 7 to 70.
#3 L’Arancia Cunda:
Dessert in one of Cunda’s stone mansions an Italian restaurant opened with decoration. Suitable for any time of the day, from breakfast to dinner. It’s a colorful place that you can’t not see while walking around the streets.
#4 Orman Coffee & Cocktail:
As everywhere we go, we are new in Cunda. We found our next generation coffee shop! Alone, this is both a coffee shop and a cocktail bar.. The interior is very spacious, the outside area is full of conversation.. The daytime hours are calmer, and the evening is pure joy!
#5 Vino Wine House:
Red and green, which you will recognize from most of the photos shared as Cunda on social media, This is the wine house that is engraved in our minds with its chairs! In our opinion, there can be no Cunda trip without Vino; It is a very pleasant place to get to the bottom of the conversation in the cool of the evening.. When you sit on the colorful tables and chairs and watch the surroundings, you suddenly start to feel like you are playing in an Italian movie.. There is an extensive wine menu, the house wines are also delicious. Did you order an appetizer plate and a snack next to it? we took a rest in the garden. Actually, we can call it a cocktail bar; You can quickly come here at the point where you want to escape from the crowd of the island.. We loved their music, and their team was also very interested.
#7 Ayna Restaurant:
If you like trying original restaurants and modern plates, one of the special places you should add to your list.. Although Cunda is famous for its Cretan cuisine and appetizer tables, the concept is a little different here.. To elaborate a little more; We can say that it has a different menu consisting of options such as sardines in vine leaves, cold fish cooked in lemon, seafood stew with marjoram, and roasted chicken with sage.. You need to make a reservation before you go, the prices are similar to the places in Istanbul, but Cunda is not a cheap holiday route either.
#8 Lal Crete Cuisine:
Cunda’ whoever we told before we came, suggested Lal Crete Cuisine.. Well, being Cretan on his father’s side, it was a must to try this place too! There is as they say, everything is fresh and very tasty. In summer, it is absolutely necessary to come with a reservation; If you call and cannot reach Cunda like we do, you can go to Cunda and have it done on the first day they open.. It has reasonable prices compared to many places on the island that serve Cretan cuisine.
#9 Cielo:
Another bar recommendation in Cunda is Cielo.. Always popular as it is one of the very few venues open until late at night.. It is loved because it is a warm and friendly bar..
