While I was the Automotive editor of Bloomberg Businessweek Turkey, I had the opportunity to test the Opel Astra GTC in Istanbul.. The car stayed with me for about 4 days. During this time, I had the opportunity to try the car under various conditions in Istanbul traffic, on the highway at late hours.. Frankly, I cannot say that I have the driving skills to test the car to its limits in line with advanced driving techniques.. I just think that as someone who has had the opportunity to test many more cars than the average person, I can observe the differences between these cars from the point of view of the average end user.. My Opel Astra GTC Impressions
Although the sales numbers are not very high Serious competition began to take place in the sports car segment.. Many automakers see this segment as a showcase for brand image rather than volume.. That’s why they design and market very handsome models.
The Opel Astra GTC is a model designed with this vision.. Opel is a brand that has very handsome models in terms of design lately.. However, the Astra GTC has a design that goes beyond even these models.. The car receives an interest that no Opel brand car has ever seen.. If you are a believer in the evil eye, it is useful to have an evil eye bead in your car.. The interior design of the car is good, but not as ambitious as the exterior.. In fact, it is not much different from the interior design of the New Astra.
When you sit in the driver’s seat of the car, it is a fact that its performance is below expectations in terms of acceleration.. This doesn’t mean the car is slow. But there are many faster than him.. When it comes to the handling of the car, the vehicle is quite assertive in this regard.. You may need to make a special effort to get it out of the way.
