Seychelles Beaches

Are you looking for calm or peace? All available on the pristine beaches of Seychelles. The island in general is so calm that even when they are on the road, they move slowly.. Islander people are usually not in a hurry anyway.. Seychelles beaches are famous for their white flour-like sand and clean and clear water where you can see every shade of blue. I will share with you the beautiful beaches and photos of Praslin, La Digue and Mahe, respectively.. For information on Food & Drink, Transportation and Accommodation, you can check our Seychelles Travel Guide. Before going into the details, I can say that before you go to Seychelles, you should definitely take your sea shoes and snorkel with you.. If you are not a diver and you say that if I see the fishes from the side, it is enough, you can experience it to the fullest on the small aquarium beaches.. Now let’s get to the details..

>> Praslin Beaches>> La Digue Beaches>> Mahe Beaches

Praslin Beaches

The most famous and world-renowned beach of Praslin island Anse Lazio of course. But if you are wondering whether this is the only beautiful beach or not, of course, we recommend Cote d’or beach with its wide sandy beach and water sports activities.

Anse Lazio: This beach in Praslin has been selected as one of the best beaches in the world. As soon as you arrive here, you will immediately understand why, especially in the morning.. Think of soft, powdery white sand and waves that are not too high hitting the beach.. Giant granite stones and turquoise water embrace you in the sea, very suitable for taking pictures and adding magic to its magic.. You can easily reach the beach by car, you can find parking.. If you want to come by bus, you have to get off and walk after the last stop of Anse Boudin, which is about 2 km.. Anse Lazio, the most beautiful beach of Praslin that you must see, also has hidden coves.. You will see that there are also small coves when you dive into the forest from the inside of the beach or go over the stones.

Anse Boudin: Anse Lazio from Cote d’or This beach, which you will pass by on your way to Istanbul, is not very suitable for swimming, due to its location, it is too choppy and the water is cloudy.. We just took a few photos while driving.

Anse Takamaka: This beach, which you pass by on the way from Cote d’or to Anse Lazio, is located just below the Raffles Hotel.. We did not choose to swim because this beach, which can be used by outsiders other than hotel customers, is quite mossy and blurry compared to Anse Lazio.. But you can go to take nice pictures on the calm beach. Don’t miss it when you find a tilted palm.

Cote d’or: One of the widest and longest beaches on the island. It is also suitable for swimming as it is not very wavy.. You can do water sports on the Cote d’or or enjoy this peace under one of the trees.. There are many take-away and restaurants around the beach, as well as markets.. If you want, you can also do your shopping and solve your food business.

Anse Georgette and Anse Kerlan: Unfortunately, these beaches are only visited by hotels. translated. Access to Anse Georgette requires a beach reservation with Constance Lemuria. They give this to 1 week at the earliest; In other words, it’s a bit of an excuse not to let anyone in from outside.. Even when we wanted to go for lunch, not the beach, we couldn’t go inside.. Our most important note is that they want you to make the reservation from where you left off.. That is, by someone who speaks Creole.. At the same time, Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette are two independent ends of the island, there is a path in between.. If you want to come by car, you have to go around the lower part of the island.. But when you look at the photos you will see that there is no better beach in Praslin than Anse Lazio..

La Digue Beaches

Even though La Digue is a very tiny island, it has beaches that are waiting to be discovered and that bring you through the path and mountain roads that are really tiring.. The sea is rather rocky compared to Praslin or Mahe and it is choppy, making swimming difficult.. You should definitely not enter the water in La Digue without wearing water shoes.. But one of the most beautiful aspects is that it has a sea where you can see many colorful and large and small fish no matter how shallow the water is.. It is not possible to finish all the beautiful beaches on the island of La Digue in 1 day.. If you spend 3 days on the island, you can easily tour all the beaches and even around the island.

Anse Severe: It is very easy to reach, about 5-10 minutes by bike from the jetty.. It is a beautiful cove with shallow waters that are not very busy, with fruit bars around, which you can also reach by walking.. When we went, the water was starting to recede.. We were walking almost 50 meters from the shore in waters that did not even reach our knees.. On the way to Anse Severe, you will see big turtles on the way. They are very friendly, used to being loved. You can also feed them when they come.. While you’re here, don’t come without drinking freshly squeezed fruit juices.. For 100 SCR, you can get a large glass of juice that can comfortably fit 2 people.. If you want, they add Takamaka rum for a fee.. We made our own cocktail by being vigilant in our own way and bringing the vodka we bought from duty free with us..

Grand Anse: You arrive at Grand Anse after about half an hour of tiring climbing and descending journey from Jetty.. On the way to Grand Anse, you can pass through the inner streets of the island and get to know La Digue a little more closely.. Grand Anse is quite dangerous for swimming from May to October due to waves and currents.. Waves exceeding human height are beating the beach.. You can take photos on this windy beach and continue towards other beaches.. If you want to continue to other beaches after Grand Anse, you will have to leave your bike here.. ‘Cause the next roads are all paths. Also, maps.me or other map applications have shown that it is not suitable for commuting by bicycle, but the hotels have as wide a road as even electric vehicles can come.

Petit Anse: A seriously difficult track awaits you after Grand Anse. Imagine climbing and descending mountains, there is no straight path. Sometimes you pass over the stones and sometimes through the grass.. If you have set out on this road, we recommend that you go out with comfortable shoes and clothes, and protect yourself with sprays such as off.. Of course, it is useful to be prepared by not forgetting the sudden rain.. Petit Anse was good for a little more swimming. It has a wide beach, a small fruit bar. However, since we learned that Anse Coco is more beautiful, we set off for the Anse Coco track without wasting any time here.

Anse Coco: This takes about 30 minutes.. It was a journey that we went on to rest and get out.. However, Anse Coco fascinated us with its pristine beach, natural beauty, colorful fish and waves in the sea.. It is a very beautiful bay to take beautiful photos.. When you come thinking that you will rest and swimming, it is useful to bring your food and spare water with you.. ‘Cause there’s nowhere to take it around. The phone doesn’t work very well either..

Anse Patate: A very small beach between the rocks. It is quite close to the center of La Digue and you can reach it very easily by bike.. We had thought about snorkeling on the rocks but nothing was visible as it was very choppy.. The best thing to do here is to enjoy the view.

Anse Banane: It is not suitable for swimming because it is very rocky and wavy, right next to the road. There’s a place called Chez Jules. You can sit here and have a drink with the view, the details are in our article on what to eat in Seychelles.

Anse Source D’argent: Located in L’Union Estate park the beach gets very crowded as it is close to the center of La Digue. There are 3-4 small beaches between the cliffs and the view is really great.. However, it is not a place to spend a day and swim here.

Mahe Beaches

To the island of Mahe When we arrived, we were a little biased after seeing Anse Lazio about the sea.. We thought we’d take a general city tour, wander around. Until he discovered Fatih, Beau Vallon and Port Launay.. Now let’s go to the 2 most beautiful beaches of Mahe.

Beau Vallon: One of the most popular beaches of Mahe island. Very easy to reach. If you want to come by bus, you can get on and off the 7 SCR right in front of the beach.. There are also restaurants and markets around.. If you have any need, they are all within the distance that you can solve.. If you want to surf and do water sports at the same time, this is the place for you.. You can find all kinds of water activities. In addition, the beach is so wide and long that you can enjoy this beautiful environment comfortably without being intertwined, you can fall asleep in the shade of the tree, we did a lot.. At the same time, fishermen pour their nets onto the beach and people can come and get fish directly from the sand.. It’s so plentiful.. If we were staying there in a hostel we definitely wouldn’t miss this fish. There are also diver schools in this region.. If you are also looking for such an activity, Beau Vallon may be a suitable place for you.

Port Launay: All its magic, ambush is waiting for you, hidden behind the mountains with its clouds. Located right in front of Constance Ephelia Resort, you can enter this beautiful beach from outside.. You can come very close by bus.. It has a long and wide beach, but unfortunately the tree bottoms are filled by the hotel’s sun loungers.. For this reason, you should come by risking to stay in the sun.. This is one of the most beautiful beaches to snorkel.. After walking about 3 meters in the sea, the rocks start and the water does not get deep.. As such, you can explore the fish by walking in the sea.. In some moments, you can even stay among the school of fish.. I’ve seen fish of different breeds and sizes, and I’m scared and turned away.. The sea is also very convenient for swimming as it is not wavy.. Here’s a short video:

Seychelles Of course, one of the most beautiful aspects of the sea is its exquisite sea, but underwater is just as colorful.. You can snorkel among the rocks in shallow waters that do not exceed the length and swim with the fish.. Especially in areas where the waves are less and the sea is calm, you can also come across fish shoals.. I think it is quite entertaining and educational for children as well as adults.. This video contains a short clip of those beautiful moments.. Enjoy watching.. (Detail note: This beach is Port Launay beach on Mahe island. Just behind it is the Constance Ephelia hotel, which is adjacent to the beach.. The beach is open to the public, to enter Anse Georgette in Praslin you had to beg Constance Lemuria and make a reservation, but they didn’t make it mandatory for this place.. If you stay in Mahe, definitely don’t leave without seeing it.). Beautiful and funny sea video from Port Launay at Seychelles. We really had fun every single moment we spent at this bay. We absolutely advise you to see and make snorkelling. Apart from these 2 beautiful beaches, we also went to Anse Soleil, Anse Takamaka and Anse Royale beaches. However, we don’t know if it’s because of the season, the sea was not accessible.. The waves were too big to swim in and the sea was pretty cloudy.. But as I said, when you go to these two beaches, your eyes will not see any other place.. Trust us.
